India crossed the 4000-infected and 100-dead mark yesterday.

Lifting the lockdown on 14th April is gonna be a really bad idea.

Its not getting lifted on 14th, especially when more new countries are going into full lockdown (Singapore, Japan). People are already preparing for May.

UP CM nd all already said its going to be lifted on 15 and ICMR said it will be lifted. International flights n all will remain shut but country nationwide  lockdown will be lifted. Only few hotspot aread will remain shut for example Nizamudddin in Delhi.

Lockdown should stay until atleast May. 15 April date was looking good date to lift lockdown till this Jamat incident happened, now they should extend it. Seriously.

f**k can u imagine ppl travelling in Metro train after 15, so close to each other:/

Most probably they are saying so that ppl dont panic. But the way cases are increasing dont think 15 april liftdown would be a good idea. Lets see what happens this week.

If so, we're probably gonna get an official confirmation around 11th or 12th. T

I myself have to use the Delhi Metro, that too in peak hours. Even if lockdown is lifted (bad move imo) , I dont think I'd be willing to leave the house and use the metro for an hour long commute.

sh*t, seems like an extension is coming.

Honestly, I hope that happens. This isn't heading in a good direction. Sure the government issued the lockdown, and they had the Janta Curfew and Lights at 9PM which gives us a feeling of unity and solidarity, but if all of us step out of the house, we're finished.

I guess there is a 50% chance that districts with 0 cases will be opened in a staggered manner. Thanks to Jamaat there is only 50% chance of that happening.

Big places like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune etc with a lot of cases and places having clusters will remain closed indefinitely. In Pune there are reports of community transfer happening in slums already.

Felt like a celebration, many did stepped outside and pulled rallies and fired crackers in society and building terraces.

Yes, government may extend the lockdown and for our own good but some people do not understand.

Emergency declared in Tokyo and Osaka for a month. Still no complete lockdown.

Japan also has an aging population, negative population growth and low fertility rate. Also They're testing rate is also very low around 800-100 per day and a total of 16k-20k tests so far despite being one of the first countries to be hit by the virus. Things are not looking good ☹️

Japan really doesn't have a legal provision to enforce lockdown which is weird. The citizens can continue to ignore it and there'll be no fine or penalty or g***d pe bambu.

There population has great discipline and respect for fellow citizens, they follow rules to the T.

It will be a perfect lockdown.
