dante77
What happened today will have a huge impact on upcoming weeks. There will be thousands of people infected from today alone.People defending this saying addicts will die if they don't. Isn't it good if they die as an individual and not take out others with them? We don't really have a choice.

Central Government is not processing Refund of State share of GST collection. Its basically the collapse of GST mechanism and Federalism in one way. There is huge cash crunch in State Exchequer, such that States are not able to pay the salaries to its staff. The only intent of opening Daroo Thekas was to Get more revenue which is not to be shared with the Centre. Excise on Liquor isn’t covered by GST. <WhatsApp Forward> I didn't knew alcohol doesn't come under GST regime. Like one of the most common luxurious item is out of GST and people are paying 18% tax to buy a box of screw. How shallow and f**ked up it is. Liquor and fuel were/are both outside GST. It was one of the many big flashpoint between state and centre during implementation. That's why we have varying rates of both in different states. In Maharashtra for eg IMFL is taxed at around 60-70% and Unless they introduce another GST slab, it won't ever come inside.

Even Hyderabad’s Tonique is kinda same. Less than 1km from my place. But in Hyderabad everything is closed though. Don’t think if they going to open anytime soon. Since we are in red zone category. And yeah people are going crazy. Even this one is from Bangalore.

sobbii
According to Mr. Kejriwal it all understandable that Corona cases might increase but they need money. When Tata has said that save yourself and you can earn some other day. Kejriwal saying such stupid things, saying our hospitals are equipped to handle cases. Especially when the doctors are crying for lack of PPE. I wonder if they even added a single ventilator. Such bloody hypocrisy!https://twitter.com/RNTata2000/status/1256937814215626752?s=19Tata never said anything like that...Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

goDofWar_skr
I feel these people with huge bills are hoarding stuff so that they can resell it later when this relaxation of lockdown blows up and everything closes once again... Or are they really going to consume all of that?

Banz
They may be hoarding for themselves. For the last month or so, there was black marketing going on and buyers had to pay 3-4 times the usual selling price (which is already above MRP). Most black market guys I know cleared all their stock 2 days ago itself because of reports that wine shops would be opening. There is too much risk in buying huge stocks for selling now because there is no guarantee the demand will be as high again soon. Customers are buying huge stocks to avoid paying high prices if shops close again. Also if there is opportunity to sell again, they can simply buy from wine shops and bars in black, like they have been doing in the past month or so.
