@Walker how did Goa get so bad? At one point, there were no cases. Now from what you're saying, it seems there is community transmission.

Problem is it's concentrated in a part of a Vasco area which has a population of around 2000. To have 250+ cases in a span of a few days says a lot. And now some of that is spilling outside as well. Some health workers who were handling the location also tested positive as well. There were only 200 beds available and now they've added 220 more apparently. Also they'd stopped testing because of backlog. 2000 tests and they got backlogged.

In case of docs, the quality of PPE kits etc may not be good enough. Also, one careless mistake can lead to infection of others when they end their shifts and are without PPE kits or covering. Also I am not 100% sold on the idea that N95 masks can definitely prevent the infection.

We are reaching new heights everyday. C'mon India Dikhado. :gunsmilie::clapping:
Well our population is our problem, and to top it up poverty. Easy for us to sit at home eating burgers and sipping coke and comment on India, the poor who is dying on road has to go and work he has no choice.

Typing the same thing again and again is not gonna change anything, it's unprecedented times and though I don't agree with certain steps government took or center took, this is the new normal. Learn to live with it or keep getti g depressed reading all these numbers(i stopped few weeks back). e7cabd4d8177969ff6f7ddb1bd35486d.jpg

Our muncipality also hit a new high of 118 cases. If this continues like this, with daily new highs, people will die on streets in front of hospitals. With these many cases itself our healthcare is broken. The Government was unable to scale up healthcare during lockdown. All governments, absolutely sh*t handling.

In Jalgaon, 80 year old woman Covid patient died and her dead body was there in hospital toilet for 7 days and nobody knew. 7 hospital staff suspended now after much outrage.

In Mumbai, 82 year patient disappeared and his dead body was found next day on footpath. And we are not even counting the deaths due to non corona diseases because hospitals are full.

There was absolutely no need to open hotspots like Mumbai, Delhi in such situation. It's only going to get worse.

Calm down guys, things are getting back to normal. We go to office now, shops and restaurants opening. Unlock 1.0 has been successful and we should appreciate this and look forward to unlock 2.0 next month. Things will be very normal soon.

Uddhav Thackeray warns that if people continue to flout norms leading to worsening of the COVID Situation, then the complete lockdown of the state will be re-imposed again.

From Source

The coronavirus-induced lockdown in Maharashtra is likely to be enforced again strictly if the relaxations offered by the state government result in worsening the situation. If people continue to defy the lockdown norms, we will have no option but to implement it strictly, warned Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday.

After more than two months of rigorous lockdown, the state government has offered several relaxations to people under ‘Mission Begin Again’ from June 8. However, large crowds at public places and the failure in maintaining social distance have threatened to nullify the benefits of the lockdown.

Expressing huge concern over this, Mr Thackeray said, “We will have to be very careful as the coronavirus threat is not over yet. The state government is monitoring the situation closely. If the relaxations prove to be threatening the lives, the government may have to impose the lockdown sternly.”

We now have to learn to live with the virus. The lockdown measures have been eased because economic activities need to resume. But the crowds on roads have increased substantially after the relaxations. People have been allowed to take a walk, but there was a tremendous rush for it. Outdoor physical activity has been allowed for your good health and not to spoil it. Safe distance should always be maintained, he added.

N95 masks can only reduce the risk of infection.

Weird times. My tauji passed away last night (non covid). We couldn't just get up and take a flight to reach delhi as some relatives said that as we are from Maharashtra we wont be allowed outside the airport and will be quarantined and we cant even drive down as where to stay on the way? Really difficult times. Had to attend the funeral on zoom. Shocking.

His son is in UK and cant even think of coming to India as he will be qurantined in India first then again when he returns.
