Even I have been trying to make an apple pie like that. My apple pie on first page was my 2nd attempt. Can you share your recipe?

I have been baking and cooking for quite some time, so I just use the recipe just as model, I change the recipe as I go.

Also, no matter which recipe you follow, I would recommend you to pre bake your lower crust. Lay it in the bowl, press it gently, cover it with baking paper and add uncooked rice or any dal etc, enough for it to press the base or even the edges. Let it bake for around 20mins at 180-200°C, let if cool slightly. Add apples in, cover with another layer of crust and bake as per the recipe.

This makes sure that your bottom crust doesn't go soggy or worse, that it remains uncooked. It's almost impossible to overcook a fruit pie and it's bottom crust so don't worry, take care that the top crust gets just enough time and doesn't go biscuity.

Another simple one, dahi vada.

All you need is Urad dal, Cummins, oil, curd, red chilli powder and salt.

Forgot to mention the most important ingredient after dahi and vada - tamarind chutney ?

Optional along with dry fruits :p

I have added raisins too, but those enhance the flavor.
