Yes,man has been using tools to kill animals ever since.

And maybe our ancestors had sharper teeth than us ?

And many humans still can eat raw meat without any problem.

(I have tried raw mutton many times and was fine digesting it)

and not that I can necessarily can digest

vegetarian stuff very well

or milk which isn't always good for me.

Raw meat is full of bacteria. Why on earth would you eat that?

Guys guys guys. We have been cooking our meat for a long time and that's why we dont have claws and vampire teeth. The teeth we have are a part of our evolution and suited for chewing meat otherwise we would have goat like teeth throughout like our front six teeth.

We as a species have discovered fire and that's the reason WE cook.

As for raw meat. Nature shows you thats the way to eat it but since we transport it we gotta cook it, for white it is through and through but for red it is sear on the surface and you're good to go.

So you eat raw meat as well?

While the dish looks tasty, isnt mutton linked to colon cancer and other diseases?
Curious cause I avoid red meat for the same reason.

Late for the discussion! The main reason for colon cancer in Western population is lack of fibre in diet AFAIK rather than the meat alone. We Indians usually don't have much of an issue on this regard as we usually consume lots of veggies and cereals.(Unless u only eat fast food or meat alone)

And as to the other discussion that we're meant to be eating veg only, you'd be at a risk for micronutrient deficiencies. Especially vitamin B12. So, do take vitamin supplements if you decide to go vegan [emoji3590]

Eating red meat "raw" is common in the West. Its raw inside but you have to seer the outside. The harmful parasites are on the outside, not inside.

You must have heard of terms like "lets order a rare steak / medium steak / well done steak"  etc - that dictates degrees of rawness of the inside meat. If you order a "well-done" (cooked thoroughly) steak, you'll be made fun of.

Note that this is NOT true for White meat - White meat like Chicken needs to be cooked thoroughly because the harmful parasites permeate the entire meat.

Having said all this, red meat should be still eaten in lesser quantities as eating in high quantities is linked to heart disease

Steak -> Medium rare

Burger patty -> Well-done

This is the way to go!

Had the misfortune of ordering some raw tuna steaks today. f**k youtube. The reddish fish looked really appetizing.

f**king horrible taste and smell. Palate completely ruined. Will stick to Basa only.

You are not supposed to eat the part of tuna close to the bone that is darker in color bro.

It has a very strong flavor. It is not bad for you just that it tastes horrible.

And yeah even I eat basa only. It is lovely and much better than a lot of other fishes available. It's ample in supply so doesnt cost much but for some reason people think that since it is cheap it must be bad.

Was't aware of this. I just couldnt even swallow the cooked pieces down , had to feed the 2 steaks to street dogs.

Had Tuna abroad. Loved it. Never tried it here because I heard that its some weird variation of Tuna.

Never tried Basa because I read that it swims in shallow polluted waters (which is why its plentiful and so cheap) which makes it toxic.

You are talking about the imported basa from Vietnam. We have stopped importing basa long ago. Even though it is a fish that can survive in really bad water conditions. What we now get is basa farmed in dams and rivers across India
