The Chocolate ice cream from Brooklyn Creamery have an overly Coconut taste plus me and a friend who ordered independently got a stomach ache the day we ate it. It just might be an outlier.

Their mango is delicious though.

Frankly the best chocolate ice cream  for the price I've had (with sugar) is NIC's Madagascar chocolate. That is pure win

I was a fan of NICs until once when the ice cream was delivered in bad shape. Complained and they basically said f**k off. Never ordered from them post that incident.

The Brooklyn Creamery vegan is made from coconut milk, and hence tastes...coconutty. Love it !

Order the French Vanilla and the Madagascar and take a scoop of each, eat them together. Absolutely amazing.

Tried SO French Vanilla Cold Brew today.

I let it steep for 20hrs.

Impressions: It's not that bitter, can easily drink it black but I didn't get much of the French Vanilla flavour. Aroma is there but taste was very muted.

Added one spoon of condensed milk in almost 250ML of coffee and ice, the vanilla flavour became pronounced. Not surprised since sweetness brings out flavours very well but still the flavour was very subtle.

Will try to replace condensed milk with normal milk and bit of sugar syrup and try again.

Pleased with the product though.

Aren't these both Maida ? You should look at 'whole wheat' options if you want healthier options.

Just kidding bro. I am not much expert in coffee too, hell even only came to know about Davidoff couple of weeks back because my nephew bought it. Before that, I only used to drink Nescafe and Bru only. It is in this thread I find so many fancy names lol

Was just taking advantage of the situation in these fancy names haha

Maida is unhealthy. There is a universal concensus on that.

Come to think of it, if just this one thing was healthy then the world would be such an awesome place!

From what I'm reading, for the all-purpose-flour thats used in US (not maida), the nutriets are added back in after processing (which makes it more expensive) but in maida they're not? Not sure of this though.

Afaik all purpose flour is maida. Whole wheat is atta. Whole wheat is healthier and these days there are even healthier options like millets flour/ oats flour etc. But it's easier to use maida and make things, it's also more tasty.

Not much difference between All purpose and Maida. The former just has a higher gluten content to make it suitable for both breads and cakes.

Nutrition wise, almost the same thing.

I should mention the context is frying foods, not baking cakes and such.

Rice Flour is also good apparently. Might get that.

its possible I may be obsessing over something small here :P

For frying food, Maida is preferable or atleast all purpose.

Gluten in whole wheat will not let it the coating get as crispy. It will turn into a more chewy and bready texture and that might also make you to over fry and over cook whatever you are frying.

Also, if you are frying stuff then does nutrition in the flour really matter? It will make negligible difference.

I only recognise arabica and robusta. The moment the conversation flow goes into vanilla, nuts, fruits, berry etc i just ignore. Same for scotch. Bhains ki taang

Taste acha hona chahiye.

I prefer (used to) few blended ones over Single Malts. It's all about taste.

Scotch even i like. I can distinguish if a type of alcohol is good or bad. But i cant sit and taste is it like the connoisseurs do. Cant be a quasi connoisseur.
