The comparison doesn't matter.

Still, what you find boring is probably fun to someone else and they find value in it.

I'm enjoying my games wholeheartedly if you havn't noticed.

You are. But you also remarked how sad it it is that others haven't got the game. And I just wanted to point out how those people probably feel the same way about you for not having bought a game they enjoyed.

If they felt the same I felt it too and expressed. Doesn't mean the point is 'useless' per say.

The reviewers exclusively tagged ubisoft games as repetitive and upfront boring which I felt it too. If someone enjoys even that than I'm not forcing them not to. The games which I've and even you have mentioned are rare because games like this one are flooded in market.

I'm enjoying my games wholeheartedly if you havn't noticed.

Boring and fun is not universal. Its different for different people

hey Guys I had played Valhalla on ps4 when it launched, and now I have bought a used PS4 disc to play on PS5. in my earlier playthrough, I had made it through halfway in the game and want to use the resource farming exploits ( not sure if this is a taboo thing to discuss, but i just dont want to pay Ubisoft for the bloody microtransactions and i get very little time for games).

So my question is

  1. Can I use my ps4 save from a previous installation with a different disc, and continue that in the PS5?
  2. Can I play the ps4 disc in ps5 without patching, until I can farm enough sh*t and then turn on the patches? will this work or will it break the game.
  3. Am I an idiot for doing this coz there is some other way to get materials quickly without burning a hole in your wallet?

Not sure if others do this as well, but would love to know whats possible here.

Only works in Immortal fenix rising.

Nope, it does with Watch Dogs Legions as well. They have their own cloud upload option within the game to carry the save from last generation consoles to current one.

Not exactly what he was asking. He was asking for every platform. For Watchdogs they restricted the function to either Xbox one to Series X or PS4 to PS5. Stupid choice considering how they have the infrastructure in place to enable it and it works pretty well in Immortals and Valhalla where you can literally leave playing on PC and jump right back there on PS5.

Immortals allows save to be transferred to any platform. You cant do that with WGs or Valhalla. Save works on same family of consoles that i know but not on different family of Consoles.

Will my Valhalla Xbox one X save work on PC? I don't think so. But immortal save will work as there is a dedicated send save online option

I didn't see such option when i played it on Xbox

I played it on the PS4 back when it was on the free weekend thing and did a good amount of progress. It showed me the option to perform a cloud upload to retain my save on the main menu, which I did. When I upgraded to the PS5 copy, I just ended up downloading the save from the menu itself and everything carried over. It's a bit buggy though as it wouldn't always upload consistently.

Do you mean cross platform saves?

Yes,ps4 to ps5 i know. Same family of consoles allow saves to be transferred that i know. But Xbox to PS5 to PC don't work in any game except Immortals.

Oh ok. I was referring to what @Soultrader92 asked as he's porting the save from PS4 to PS5, which should be doable and carry over his progress as is.

Ok thats good to know.. So just to clarify.. I have ONLY a PS5 and my save file is the ps4 save file which is saved on PS plus. So when I insert the PS4 disc in my drive. I should first install the PS4 version, Then run it via backwards compatibility and upload the save to UBISOFT servers. Then upgrade to PS5 and then download the save from ubisoft servers and it should work. Correct?
