Im glad it's finally getting a physical release. I hope ms releases an ultimate edition of gears 5 at some point with the hivebusters expansion on the disc. Ethan_Hunt Posted February 9, 2022 Report Share Posted February 9, 2022 Finished this game last night and wow, it was amazing. The atmosphere it created along with the soundtrack was amazing. The controls were really janky though and they really should work on better walking and sprinting animation. Voice acting was really good. This is probably the first time I didn't need any guide for the puzzles, except for the one time I got stuck near the end (thought I had glitched). Story/lore elements were piece together nicely through flashbacks, nicely animated cutscenes and notes scattered around the world. I feel like this team has a huge potential in creating creepy sections and they would be an excellent contenders for a Silent Hill game. They do need to work on the optimization bits in their games though, I remember playing through Blair Witch and boy that game really had massive frame rate issues. Most parts in this game as well could have easily been done at 60 frames, but fortunately, the 30 frames wasn't too bad considering the pacing of the game. Give it a shot if you're horror a fan and it's not that long either. Took me 2-3 sittings to wrap this up before it leaves Game Pass.
