Apparently Sony has been using the same springs for more than a decade, while others have moved on to durable stuff. But alas, if it breaks, it's your money down the drain. I am guessing the spring prices will go up pretty soon. Hopefully we get decent quality ones in India, now with no Aliexpress and Ebay.
