Finally managed to snag a PS5. Getting it next week. What's the number one game I should get? Am thinking of Demon's Souls, but what has everyone else enjoyed on IVG?

Rift Apart and Demon's Souls

The pre-installed game Astro's playroom is also pretty great.

Every time the bot pings I rush to amazon just to get disappointed yet again

The catch is to be there before BOT pings, I think there is a slight delay.. see the times it pinged last night post midnight and be on Amazon before that and refresh..Not guaranteeing just try luck if you are desperate …

In the drop before this I was able to buy at 11:58 PM and the Bot pings started only at 12..

Maybe the manufacturers use that term

But Cinema & Gaming refer 2K as 1080p & not 1440p

In GT sport the 1080p performance mode is referred to as 2K mode & is specifically designed to run on 1080p output

1920 (2K)

3840 (4k)

2560 in practically speaking terms  is also way beyond the 2K figure threshold

Again. NO.

Can't say for cinema,

But, In gaming when it comes to display resolution we developers indicate HD as 1080p, 2k as 1440p. 4k as 2160p.
In gaming when it comes to memory pool and textures we devs indicate 2k as 2048x2048, 4k as 4096x4096. 1k as 1024x1024.

2K has forever been 1440p in gaming/monitor terms, what are you arguing about?

Wonder why Polyphony Digital labelled the 1080p output mode as 2K

& some of the manufacturers too

2K vs 4K resolution

Standard DCI 2K native resolution is 2,048 x 1,080 pixels. This results in a total pixel count of 2,211,840. In comparison, DCI 4K resolution is 4,096 x 2,160 pixels, resulting in a total pixel count of 8,847,360. With horizontal and vertical dimensions twice as large as 2K, a DCI 4K image has four times the total resolution of a 2K image.

Technically speaking, if the horizontal pixel count is above 2000, then it can be called 2K.

So 1080p is 2K only if it's 2048x1080.

But the majority of 1080p games run at 1920x1080 and not 2048x1080.

GT Sport is called 2K [maybe because] it's running at 2048x1080.

How does technicalities of cinema resolution matter in a gaming forum? You got it wrong, got corrected, move along to the next argument.
