How much battery life are you guys getting out of your dualsense?

I'm getting about 2 hours when playing astro and haven't really measured properly for ps4 games but i imagine it'll be close to 7 hours or so.

But one thing is clear. I absolutely LOVE the dualsense controller. Everything from the ergonomics, to the weight and the the haptic motors and adaptive triggers is brilliant. I don't think I can ever enjoy playing with a ps4 controller anymore.

Astro is truly a delight. I could literally feel the difference in the vibration between walking on clouds and glass and ice and steel. And you can even distinguish between light and heavy raindrops falling on you. The adaptive triggers are so much fun to play with. Very immersive experience. Definitely don't think these are just gimmicks that will go away. Sony has changed the game, and there are rumors that xbox might be adding these features in the next iteration of their controllers as well. If that happens you can be assured that devs will put effort into programming these effects.

Astros and any other game with haptic intense will drain the battery, BUT its also true that as you use the DS more like battery drains and charging it gets better, initially even I felt it was draining way quick but now it feels better..  The implementation is just hands down man, Also play BUGSNAX great implementation there as well..

Maybe it's just me, but the DS4 felt better quality than this. Could be just cuz of weight bit, the plastic feels thinner.

Haptics aside since I hate them, the controller is all sorts of fab. The L1 R1 buttons especially for me in cod. Feel soooo smooth even now 2 months after purchase feel like a revelation compared to the DS4.

The dualsense is perhaps the controller of this generation across all 3 console players.

Only minor nitpick is the placement of the PS button. It's a little too low for my liking. That coupled with having to pull the bottom card menu and scroll all the way to the right just to shut down is irritating. Wish they add a long press option like the PS4/Xbone

Dude your PS5 is definitely faulty, Have you raised any complaint yet ?? PS4 Drive is smooth AF, it has jet engine fan noise in some games but not drive noise.. who is the other guy who had bad fan noise in games like Astro ?? even his is faulty and shouldraise.

I was talking about the drive noise, not the fan noise. You are confusing the two. Intermittently drive spins up to full speed if using a disc and that's when it is louder than the Pro's fans, not Pro's drive. That's what it seems like.

Otherwise the console is silent.

Battery life for now is miles better than DS4's. I didn't keep tab but I think I was able to play ~8 hours of Astro+DS when it wasn't even fully charged to begin with.

As for Astro, loved every moment. It's basically a celebration of Playstation, a beautiful trip down the memory lane. Though I properly started my gaming journey with the PS2, the game was still able to hit a lot of sweet spots. The Dualsense is great too, the weight is just right and the size is better for bigger hands like mine. The only issue with the new features is that they won't see enough support from 3rd party devs and eventually be forgotten down the line, like how the DS4's touchpad was never really utilized, and I don't see Xbox adopting these features into their controller tbh

Yeah fully agree, except the bit about the haptics. So far i love the haptics. Maybe it might get old and boring soon. But right now it feels simply amazing. Especially in astro since it has been implemented so purposefully in that game.

Did you get the option to update it to Ps5 version in-game or by clicking on the three dots on the Ps5 home screen next to the Spiderman tile?

Because till yesterday, that option wasn't there.

This might just be an update file.
