Did you get the option to update it to Ps5 version in-game or by clicking on the three dots on the Ps5 home screen next to the Spiderman tile?

Because till yesterday, that option wasn't there.

This might just be an update file.

This is the first time update when I put in my PS4 disc. No upgrade options in three-dotted sub-menu, let me check in-game

Digital edition has no issues.

Problem is with the disc version.

oh didn't know that.  Did a google search and it says for disc users, there's supposed to be an upgrade option in the game's menu

I was talking about the drive noise, not the fan noise. You are confusing the two. Intermittently drive spins up to full speed if using a disc and that's when it is louder than the Pro's fans, not Pro's drive. That's what it seems like.

Otherwise the console is silent.

Haven't seen this happen either since 2 months, GOT clocked more than 60 hours purely disc play.. If its for a short file should be fine..

Tera US unit hai. Fan type A. The more I read about this the more it appears India retail units are the ones with the noisier Fan type B and/or a noisier blu ray drive.

It won't happen unless it's installing or copying over some more data. It seems normal to me but given XSX so quiet, Sony could have done better.

Yeah I actually find it weird that Series X is smaller and quieter (from what I've heard), especially when considering the amount of focus that was put into the PS5's cooling solution like it's huge a*s heatsink and liquid metal cooling

Anyone using the ps5 in vertical mode? I started facing issues with the disc getting stuck during eject. Switched to horizontal mode and things are fine.

Wondering if I should contact Sony.

From the start its happening or after 3-5 discs? Mines ejected normally for two three times now.

Battery life for now is miles better than DS4's. I didn't keep tab but I think I was able to play ~8 hours of Astro+DS when it wasn't even fully charged to begin with.

As for Astro, loved every moment. It's basically a celebration of Playstation, a beautiful trip down the memory lane. Though I properly started my gaming journey with the PS2, the game was still able to hit a lot of sweet spots. The Dualsense is great too, the weight is just right and the size is better for bigger hands like mine. The only issue with the new features is that they won't see enough support from 3rd party devs and eventually be forgotten down the line, like how the DS4's touchpad was never really utilized, and I don't see Xbox adopting these features into their controller tbh

How cool were all those cameraman scenes in Astro where the characters were enacting references to PS exclusives. i have a feeling that the haptic and adaptive triggers features wont go the same way as the touchpad.  If you recall the response to the touchpad  after the reveal was nowhere near the kind of response that the dualsense features have received after actual user feedback. The touchpad really was gimmicky. what could the developer really do with it, even now there doesnt seem to be a proper use case for ? Tsushima, days gone etc added what they could to it. I espcially liked how the DS4 speaker would play the audio recording that you would find in Days gone. the adaptive triggers and the haptics have the potential to make the gaming experience far more immersive than what was previously possible.
