Not sure if you already solved it but you can use a UK psn id to download the ps5 version & then continue playing fro the original psn id.

Yeah, I know but was hoping they’ll resolve this for India A/c. I’m anyways resuming GoT, I sold my PS4 midway playing that game when I was in Chapter 2.

So, I shared about the weird noise I was having from my PS5. I was scouring the internet and I found a video which shows the EXACT same noise which mine is making.

So IVGians, what are my options?

This is normal I guess, mine also has a similar noise. But it's not loud enough to bother me.

I think the best bet is to carry on playing till the time stocks stabilize and then try for a replacement from Sony.

If i get too close i can hear something similar. If you think its faulty wait for a month and replace it.

Mine has as well but that comes from the power supply area, not from the fan. That is because of the capacitors and the lack of silicone paste.

Mine is dead silent while idle. Even while playing games I don't really hear anything even while standing right next to it and have to strain very hard to make out a very faint sound.

I've been using the hdmi cable with my ps4 for years. I tried it with 2-3 other hdmi cable and shall also try it with the official cable if the problem persists.

What's the blue light though :fear:

Achcha quote dilwao OLED ka.

And I'm lazy as f**k, often pause a game for 30 minutes. THat will increase the chance of burn it :fear:

At least for LG OLEDs, there's not much issue of burn in. My TV is in pause state for several hours everyday for the last 3+ years and no issues so far.

Pause state main screensaver on ho jaata hai.

I bought my 55b9 in oct 2019 for 1.15 qfter cashbacks, b10 bhi almost 1.2 hona chahiye post cashbacks.

Edit-: not checked for games, but netflix and all main hota hai.

Will check and let you know today fpr ps5 as well.

It is not coil whine, that noise is much different like 'krrrrrrrr'. This one is coming from fan, as if it's little loose. Apparently screwing them tight seems to have reduced the noise, while some have put rubber o rings to completely eliminate the problem.

I'm going to remove the panels and just jam them screws beside the fans again. But, I don't think I'll be disassembling the fan and putting in rubber stoppers.

That's good to hear, you got yourself a perfect unit. Mine doesn't go loud or do something crazy no matter how long I use, it's just that noise which is persistent as soon as I boot the machine, it never goes away, be it menus, games or otherwise. I doubt Sony would even cover something like that under warranty.

Same as @Shantz absolutely 0 noise whatsoever. No matter how long the session is or AAA exclusives.

OLED is one of the best purchases you can make, it's such a massive step up that it's not even funny. Also, don't bother yourself about burn in. As long as you watch different context i.e. play games, watch NF, YouTube etc. there should be no image retention.

LG CX might still have the Diwali offer running so you should be able to secure one around ~1.2L. It also comes with standard 3 years warranty, and you can extend for another 3 years for ~20k.

I also hear this sound but its not too loud, not audible when I am playing because of the music/sounds fx.

I guess this is normal because I know 2 other people who have this sound coming from the PS5.

That's interesting, I wonder how many on here also have similar noise. If you are using headphones it's a complete non-issue but if its soundbar or TV audio  its audible.

I'll just try and get used to it, PS5 is incredibly hard to source anywhere in the world right now. Don't wanna screw anything up by poking around needlessly :fear1:

But I want to repeat - it is not loud it's very faint so if yours is very loud then maybe there is an issue. Yeah just wait it out maybe raise the issue with sony after a couple of months when they have stock. On second thought they should ideally have extra units for DOA units/lemons.

I am ready for 2022 models. That's when the new panels will be available in C and A80 models for a good price.
