bought this!

I added to my library -

Final Fantasy 7 Remake,

Remnant: From the Ashes,

Maquette,

Farpoint and

Destruction All-Stars

is there any other game that I can add to my library today?

Ratchet and clank is also free til April 1st.

Few indies are free from 25th this month including Abzu and Subnautica.

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition from April 18th.

plan is to add all PS4 and PS5 games to the library over the next 3 years till my Gamepass Ultimate subscription expires. That’s a total of 36*3 = 108 games. Cost would be 2249*3 = ₹6747. Hopefully, to cover the cost, at least 7 games worth ₹1000 each would be included in the 108 games, rest are just bonus.

After 3 years, I’ll get the PS5 or PS5 slim which will be hopefully released by that time with more reliable controller and better and smaller design. At that time, I would have a ready library of 108 games from ps plus. Almost as good as Gamepass. To add to that, good PS exclusives will be less than ₹2000 per game by that time (like ff7r integrade)

Most people sub to PS+ long term because online MP is locked behind it, you're the first one subbing for collecting games :P

Not a good idea to stay subbed if you're not gonna use it.

Those games you're getting rn will be cheap as sh*t by the time you get a ps5. Remember that you need to stay subbed to ps plus to access those games.

will use it with my PS4 Pro - gives me a reason to fire it up as it was collecting dust anyways with all the Gamepass Gamepass Gamepass

stuff like rocket league is a good place for Pro as XSX SSD is limited

intent achcha hai, calculation "angle" is a bit off. To get the true cost of "playing" those 108 games you need to add the cost of the PS+ subscription beyond 3 years as well because you can't access them if you unsubscribe.

Now, assuming you will need a couple of years to play those 108 games,  you will get around 70 more games during that time. To play those games you would stay subscribed for another 2 years or so during which you will receive more game.......and so on. You get the point.

Now that this perpetual series is established, one can argue that you can enter it at any point in time and still have the same overall effect. Given that premise, it would be best to enter it when you actually have the console at hand to maximize the value of the money paid.

Lets say you have determined to buy PS5 or some version of it only after 2-3 years but right now have a FOMO of the games currently being given out on PS Plus. For that I suggest doing the following: make a list of games released on PS plus during the last 3 years and see how many you really wanted to play. check their lowest price on psprices and add them up. If that total its less than the "total cost" of subscription, your FOMO doesn't have much ground.

Now, the only situation where I think buying a subscription right now without a console makes sense is if the PS+ "collection" is of any importance to you. Or, the games released this month are important to you. And then too, you are buying a PS5 within this year. If you delay to next year, again, subscribing right now makes less sense.

And lastly, how come you did 2249 * 3? Isn't that discounted price only for new accounts and there is no stacking possible?

Only 2-3 games in last 4 years?! Man they've been giving some topnotch stuff past 3 years.

Ya... most of the games I want to play I had already bought by the time they come to psn plus...

if it weren’t for multiplayer, I would not subscribe to it

He also has a ps4, so if he plans on playing these games on ps4 its a decent deal. But yeah, purely stacking up for future doesn't seem enticing.

Btw rocket league is free to play now, so you don't need ps plus subscription to play it online now.

Exactly. PS plus is an actual scam. I don't even pay multiplayer that much but just keeping the sub because of the FOMO if I actually wanna play multiplayer. Now that I have an xbox and most games supporting cross play, I might just decide to not renew it.

I wouldn't call it a scam. With how much they're charging for a subscription during sales (INR 2299?), I'm pretty happy with the lineup. Even older first party with a few big names thrown in during the year is plenty so it pays for itself! And this is leaving aside MP completely.

I mean just Control UE is worth it, as far as I'm concerned.

100% with you. I stacked it when it was on sale for around Rs. 2100 (if I remember correctly) for 3 years. Heck there are at least 10-12 games every year that I end up playing and have a ton of fun. Some of the games which they gave for free were phenomenal - Control UE, Detroit, FF7, Tomb Raider Games, Bloodborne, MGSV, Nioh, Yakuza Kiwami, Hitman, Rocket League, TLOU, Ratchet &Clank, SOTC and so many more that I have enjoyed thanks to PS Plus.

Oh yea, those are some great games. It's amazing value especially if you skipped the last gen. I also like the fact that I'll have Control UE in my account as long as I'm subbed!

I need to stack a couple of years in the next sale. Is there a stacking cap? :D
