The Playstation 5 thread

Guess people aren't following Sam's pinned post.

Enough leeway has been given on both threads. Now any attempt of flame baiting, trolling , concern trolling and plain fanboyism will be met with a suspension.

if true, I'll be happy but also sad. I really want to play it but only have a Pro and I think XSX performs best of the lot with back compat, so really need it to come to gamepass

You think too much about playing the best version.

Just play and enjoy the game for the time being.

If you keep pushing the games into your backlog, you’ll never finish them.

Tbh, the absolute best version is on PC. Always.

If they start sh*t posting on these threads about how they get much better resolution and frames, the fanbois who try to create console wars here might as well shut their pie holes and fill it with concrete.

In other topic, any idea or news on when India might get the Pulse 3D headset?

these updates and patches can sometimes have a transformative effect on gameplay experience - worth the wait many a times

I found PC version to also have no input lag, something that's present in console versions and fks up your parry timing. On PC the parry is not a dice roll.

It’s highly subjective.

I would not trade the experiences I had when I played some of the generational games at launch on PS2, PS3 and PS4.

The performance of the games was never a point of discussion.

It was all about the experience and memories the game gives you after beating it.

These people like Digital Foundry are now making it an issue. They just talk about resolution, performance and all that crap.

Seriously, who gives a crap?

Console games have fantastic quality control and they are highly optimized.

You get these rare games like Cyberpunk where the performance hinders your experience. But they are very rare on consoles.

True.

Even the DF analysis ones, the difference is pretty small with PS5 performing slightly better in most games, don't think anyone would notice if not for their numbers.

You're honestly better off getting Jbl Quantum for few thousand more. Pulse isn't as good from what I've heard.

Yep, even Jigsaw suggested the same.

It's just that, its kinda chunky and I want to use it while I'm travelling as well. And 8k is already much more than my budget for headphones, 11-12k is wayy too much for my wallet.

Pulse seems ideal for my needs, decent audio, wireless, connectivity is great and looks pretty neat too.

These headphones aren't great as everyday headphones and don't come with Bluetooth so keep that in mind. I don't think these are good for anything other than gaming.

I said it before, but you should always go for specialized headphone for each application as far as possible. Jack of all trade headphones are usually terrible at everything, and uncomfortable. That JBL headphone weighs more than twice that of Bose QC35, can't even imagine how uncomfortable it'll be.

Civ and Sekiro? oh man, why the hell they didn't launch the PS5 DE rightaway?! I wanna subscribe so bad, but this lack of visibility on the supply is really holding my hand.

New stocks in the west so India maybe in April.

You speak like that's a bad thing. Missing system stability updates already? ?

Yea man, in PS4 era never seen a week gone by without stability updates. I booted my PS5 after a month and seeing no updates baffled me. I even refreshed several times to recheck.

So, which one do you suggest for gaming?

by waiting, you are not missing out on any experience, it'll remain the same whenever you play. The game can only get better after bug fixes and better performance patches, if any. I am playing Control now at 60fps. At launch on consoles, it was 30 fps. An action game like Control is significantly better at 60fps.
