Just cleaned the ps5 a bit today. The dust accumulation on the inside of the face plates is crazy. There was a lot of dust even on the side air outlet/opening.

Guys try cleaning it, make your PS happy! :P

Hopefully cheaper alternatives are soon available to Dbrand's faceplates! Iirc, final cost with customs etc comes to 6-8k? Good one time investment but hopefully something cheaper is out soon. White plates get dirty too easily

Yeah, the dirt collection is bad.

Damn! I am going to make sure that I clean mine today.

If this is the situation in 2 months, I can only imagine what its going to be like in 2-3 years if not cleaned regularly.

I cleaned my PS4 only 4-5 times in the 4 years it was with me. I never got any heat problems/fan noise.

This looks worse with huge air vents and spaces between the plates and body.

Is it fairly easy to remove the plates ?

insomniac doing some really amazing stuff with r&c and SM/MM with temporal injection technique - 60fps with RT

60fps should be the default for each game for this gen

Yeah, seems like they've optimized their upscaling tech, I'm assuming its thanks to their work with games for PS4Pro.

Plus fps boost patches are free of cost, they've earned a lot of goodwill.

Wish ND would do the same, but I'm pretty sure they'll charge for basic 60fps patch for the PS5 -_-

Had to clean my PS5 before travelling, it wasn't anywhere near this dusty (after 2 months).

Removing plates is super easy, though I'd suggest checking any YouTube clip on how to do it, at least first time.

Looking at the pics - I opened mine as well. No dust at all on the fans and all. It was clean.

The black place under the Logo however - had a logo imprinted with dust using the plate design as stencil

That’s surely a lot of dust build-up in 2 months.
I keep my PS5 fairly clean, use a thick cloth to cover it up when powered off.

Not sure if camera is picking it up, but the fan is is completely coated in a layer of fine dust.
Need to remove the fan and clean.

This is everywhere, even in foreign countries..

Anyway, Happy Birthday Aloy :hypocrite:

There is not much dust in the west but they have snow issues to deal with. Dust levels are higher in the larger cities as there is more pollution from traffic and factories. In any case, the climate is rough for India. Electronics have a shorter lifespan here. The only good solution is an airtight home with A/C flowing around.
