Someone tell Cory about India

LOL if we are going with minimum wages, it's over 11x in our country. For even an average guy earning 25K a month, a 50K console is a luxury.

Minimum wagers were never on high tech gadgets

Don’t really know what sort of BS he is talking about……actually

No in India / Brazil. Minimum wage makers here earn 9-10k per month. So you would need 5 month salary.

But minimum wage is US etc tends to be like $5000-6000. While console costs $500. So you can get one if you wanted.

No, minimum wage in US averages around $2K per month depending on state laws. Much better than Brazil/India obviously.

Time to start IGP (Indian Gamer Party), promising 0% tariff on gaming related imports. Sab vote krna

Children will love the concept. But won't be able to vote for it.

Adults won't like it and will be able to vote against it.

Modiji will crush the party

No. These US minimum wagers still pay taxes and high running costs like rent and maintenance leaving very little for food let alone education and medical care. So not much better than India/Brazil where they don’t pay taxes.

Yes Cory has to account the fixed costs of a PS5, comparison of minimum wage between first and third world and know  the import taxes of the country before making a judgment on Sony. His logic is flawed for an educated man.

Generic "corporates bad" statements don't need logic.

Jokes apart you just need Sony and MS to lobby the gormint to drop the import duties or whatever taxes, like the mobile walas and other electronics have their own lobbyist groups.

But for that they have to see India as a "hopeful" market, where they can actually make money, like say how both PS/Xbox are optimistic about the "Large Chinese Market" even though the government there doesn't like foreign videogame companies.

India is a tiny market for games, if it was a purported "large market", Nintendo would be present here.

In China Nintendo is in an arm twist partnership with Tencent to operate/distribute officially.

So if there is a chance to make big bucks, the Big Three would do anything, Lobbying is the bare minimum

Yeah, if you factor in taxes then yes, I can agree.

Hey!! poverty is a choice ok? Instead of smoking stuff and complaining on Twitter, maybe those Brazilians should go and decide to be not poor or oppressed. Amerika ftw. MAGA!

That's why mobile gaming market is booming in india. Indians love to spend on phones, but for some reason find consoles to be a costly investment.

Nintendo had the perfect candidate for the Indian market though- the switch lite. It's cheap enough for the market and runs every switch game.
