Just curious to know which all VR games you have played?

Other than the high cost(which happens with any new tech whatever be the field), I think marketing is one of the biggest hurdles for VR. No trailer/stream can even remotely let the user know how it will feel once you are "inside". After decades of "conventional" gaming, I was completely blown away by playing a VR game. Really looking forward to see where this(dead, as per IVG) technology goes maybe a decade from now.

I've experienced VR only at fests. Don't own VR systems yet, but I've tried it (Far too expensive for me to purchase). From what I've experienced, It's great. Mind-blowing even. But IMO it's just not complete yet. At this point, it cannot replace conventional gaming, nor does it add to conventional gaming (Like 3d or RTX does) IMO. It's fun, but I will not be ready to play for hours on end like I can do for conventional gaming. The VR I'm thinking, it will replace conventional gaming altogether.

True VR is still very, very far away. We are still playing around with nauseating images too close to our eyes (Many times with sub-par resolutions on top). Once true VR actually arrives - believe me, it will be such a huge jump, it will make all of these "eras" seem small time. Like the difference between slingshot and modern jet fighter warfare. By true VR, I mean something like .hack or Sword Art Online. It will literally create entire worlds that will engage all of our senses at the same time, just like Real Life does.

Sorry, this post came in between ?

Sub par resolution is mostly with sony's headset which is a cheap solution tbh.

Games like Astro Bot, RE7, Blood & Truth... looked amazing...and werent nauseating too. Wipeout is mind blowing, but I feel like puking within 10 mins :(

Running one post behind you :P

Personally I never understood this mindset that why VR has to replace conventional gaming, why cant it co-exist? Pricing, specially in India is messed up...obviously no one is going to spend 20-25k + extra for move controllers to play games which are just few hrs long or more or less like demos.

But man playing RE7 in VR was one of the most memorable gaming experience I ever had.

Pretty much a sad excuse for a supposedly so-called new "era". The difference from text-based to 2D was mind-blowing. The difference from 2d to 3d was also similarly huge. The difference from 3d to "RTX" is "Meh! OK!"

Frankly, what does RTX even bring? Better reflections in some areas? Some cities look better? Heck, even where RTX can be a go-to technology, they are unable to make a proper game out of it (Cyberpunk). More than half the games skip RTX altogether. Nah, calling RTX the next era is pretty much over-hyping it. It's just a new tech they brought so they can over-charge customers for cards.

RT is more than lighting and reflections, its a whole another system of rendering visuals and audio. It sucks that current hardware can't leverage all of it (even 3xxx cards), but consider this as equivalent to PS1 era 3D. Some day we'll have games completely drop rasterization and render everything in RT, but that's like 2 generations away.

A new quantum break-esque movie/game in the offing?

Calculated guess is that playstation productions pushed him to open a film division studio which they could be co-producing/working on his next project. Another guess is that if the rumors of sony brokering peace between him and Konami is true then it could even be the mgs movie or a silent hills one.

Or Kojima is simply dipping his feet in Hollywood, and has no relation to MGS/Silent Hill/Zone of Enders or any other Konami property. Kojima has always been an America fan (Reverse of typical otakus). It was only a matter of time before he dipped his feet in Hollywood. Especially since he made contacts with established actors like Norman Reedus and established directors like Guillermo Del Toro. I doubt anyone is pushing him to go to Hollywood.

Why tough? Why not get a second controller?

My controller normally dies on me due to my poor charging habits. So i thought of getting this to extend my gameplay.

I find it easier to hook my controller up to a powerbank and keep on playing. Don't find a need for a dedicated controller PB

That's a f****** great idea. You saved me 2000 bucks. Thanks Man!!!

Am I missing something?

How is this different from hooking up to the console?
