Seems to be something related to Japanese market only.

So that region’s tastes,preferences & laws.

Not worldwide.

The same censorship for those games is there worldwide. Its not like those games suddenly get back that content when released outside Japan.

Also, what Sony is doing in this case is just applying there own moral policing rules, which has nothing to do with any regions 'tastes, preferences or laws'. It is not for them to decide any of that. This is literal definion of censorship.

This was specific to Japanese 3rd party licensed franchises.

Something known for targeting young audiences.

So without knowing the full story behind it…..I kinda don’t feel like commenting further.

But that same article mentions TLOU,GoT & full on gore & graphic content displayed.

Even Bloodborne which was Japanese & probably the most goriest.

So I don’t think one should relate this to conclude that Sony will censor gore out of any original game.

:bash:. Gore is totally fine in the West. Sexy women is more harmful than gore according to current Western trend so it is policed heavily besides race and LGBTs. Look at Mortal Kombat, God of War. Even other publishers Capcom and Square Enix has a "morals" department to adapt to current Western trends.

How does it matter if anime titties get censored out? As long as the game is good

I just want to state the fact that censorship and moral policing exists. As for your question, it is merely opinion based so the debate will be endless what is considered appropriate or not. Hence dont want to comment on it further.

Pretty much this. Sony has been obviously censoring 'sexual' content specifically in Japenese games in some cases. Regardless of whether you think it is right or not, fact is that they have censored stuff. That is the point. Why, where, etc. is irrelevant.

Wouldn't that be more in line with getting a lower age rating than anything else. Like in the movies studios generally target for u/a rating than M or A rating so more people can watch it.

Seems like the case.

Most of the licensed kids media try to get as low ratings as possible.

Don’t know what’s the co-relation being formulated here.

Specifically when Sony has been producing some of the most goriest content in & out of Japan irrespective.

That’s what the article says

It’s done in order to get CERO acceptance, because if denied will cost more resources for resubmission

also it seems like an outlier since the news is 2 years old and we haven’t heard any since

Old models are going on clearance discounts all over the world.

Pretty good time to buy one if you don’t have already & don’t mind older bulky design.

Is there anyway to add store credit to UK PSN account anymore?!?

Earlier I used to buy from Amazon UK but now they simply don’t allow to an Indian Account.

Then I used to buy from CDkeys but even there my Debit/Credit cards are getting declined….& few moments later an automated call comes to authenticate which is pointless as it already got denied as far as portal is concerned.

Need to buy Spider-Man Remaster upgrade for my PS4 disc which is ₹1000 on Indian store but just ₹500 on UK store(£5).

I would have got a disc one now and sell my DE if it didn't looks so fugly :P

That’s the good part about the new model.

One can instantaneously remove the disc drive & keep it as a digital one.

All you need is a flat side plate.

Quite an innovative move tbh seeing how disc & digital versions both are desired in the current times.
