Now onto discussion, Im not downplaying anything. Anyone with brain can see changes happening within PS. No one saying Sony will become exactly like MS. MS clearly taking steps to move away from dedicated console completely in future and bring some type of hybrid or something who knows. Such confusing strategy makes me stick with PC only in future and not buy any xbox hardware.

 

On other hand, Sony has their own strategy which includes bringing games to PC while fully supporting with Playstation consoles with timed exclusive for now. Everyone can see they are fully embracing PC market and as time goes by you will see Sony will take more and more steps to make PC part of their core strategy. You can deny all you want but nothing will change, Sony is all in on PC.

 

 

As far as piracy is concerned. All big publishers release games on PC without worrying about Piracy. If publishers respect PC gamers and dont charge absurdly high price for 1 or 2 year old game then not many will pirate it. Sony release games late on PC then charge 70$, this will not go down well with some PC gamers, so they will pirate and it happens with all big publishers, but still  Steam gets all high profile games from every big publishers including those who boycotted Steam in past like Ubisoft, EA and Activision.

 

So Sony games will get pirated and ponies will cry about piracy and still Sony will continue to release games on PC coz Sony dont care what ponies say or think about their strategy

Coming to another textual beat down, your choice to move away from Xbox hardware is obvious, there's no other path forward for Xbox. While Xbox failed for another generation, PS is having its most profitable generation yet. PS5Pro is in the same direction, something for those interested in bettered framerate and res. You can stick to PC if you want, if that floats your boat, no one wants to stick with Xbox now, it's not dead but dying. But you coming up with weird fake reasons like oil price being high going up without any knowledge on current trend shows what your intentions are.

 

Lol, again what has Sony done for you to think they are going all in on PC?! Nothing, it's the same crap over and over again. Wait for few years PS exclusives to drop on PC, watch their biggest IPs show abysmal steam concurrent numbers, and then wonder how long they will do this. If even porting costs are not earned back, it's all loss. Meanwhile, PS as I said before is having their profitable run as always. Sony is not going all in to PC when they see recurring losses.

 

Again, your piracy comment doesn't add anything. Denuvo DRM is good enough now to prevent cracks, takes long time for a game to be cracked and in some cases never. Porting isn't something where you feed the game package to a software to some tool, click start, make a sandwich and come back to see the PC version ready. It takes lot of effort and time and money too, not to mention for PC releases they add many other feature support which aren't there on PS. PS Studios is one of the few who launch games on Steam with no DRMs, this leads to Crack available within hours and heavy piracy.

 

 

Sony games will not get pirated if they launch with some anti-piracy measure. This is why I suggested adding Denuvo or a custom anti-piracy measure, which you seemed to have ignored conviniently. And no, loss after loss won't have Sony continue to release on PC, if this abysmal sales continue it's only matter of time before they stop and concentrate on that which is profitable. You thinking otherwise is only copium.

 

For your last paragraph... My god man, again with your 'ponies' trash. This is not PvX thread. If you're really all in on PC, please stay in PC thread, stay out of PS thread, no one cares what you have to say here(no one ever did but that's a whole different topic). Let the rest of us who enjoy PS have this.

We didn't need the PS5 Pro, but Sony would be dumb not to do this when no one is there to challenge them atm. Next, PS5 discountuned and PS5 slim getting a price cut, the typical strategy that has been working since PS3/PS4

It’s just blurry as f**k in tight spaces in Performance mode & desperately needs PSSR love!!
