I doubt that mx2games is going to ship anytime soon. His timelines keep slipping. It was 2-4 weeks within launch first, then it became first week of December and now he is saying 'will update when arrived'.

We know he has stock which he is selling at higher price. Which is OK sometimes, but now it seems he is simply shafting the original pre-order guys and will send them only when all his new higher price orders have dried up.

It is so miserable being a gamer in this country, ridiculous pricing, week/months long wait for hardware and sometimes even software. No official support means we are stuck being jerked around by these grey market sellers. Sony have always treated us a 3rd class country but they have heightened it recently. I cannot forget the disasterclass which was SM2 CE pre-order, took our money for 6 months, made us wait for 2 months before cancelling the order. I get there are some certification issues on Pro, but they have issued zero update on ETA. Even back in previous gen, I remember they gave out updates and pointed out problems when something was delayed. Nowadays, Sony India is in same mould as Sony Interactive Entertainment. Zero communication with fans. It is so frustrating.

That's what you get for concentrated wealth in India. India is world #3 in number of billionaires but many firms don't consider it a viable market as it is still developmental and economically backwards overall.:nerves:

Truth is our hardcore gaming market is too small. Always has been and with most of youth now into mobile gaming, always will. Even supposedly hardcore gamers mostly play FIFA on their consoles. Like I've met a few people every now and then (maybe 20-30 over the years) who own consoles and whenever I ask which game they play on it, the answer is always FIFA and thats about it. I know only one hardcore single player gamer whom I met in my college. Thats it! So even if some consoles get sold, the game sales arent there as everyone is playing f'in FIFA.

Millions of people are willing to spend lac and above on iPhones in India, but that will never be the case with console/PC gaming. People will buy phones and play valorant or fortnite or PUBG or some sh*t and thats gaming for them. In India its as much a cultural thing now as a money thing.

Money is the biggest factor followed by culture. The distribution of wealth in India is abysmal.  Iphone is only 4-5% of the Indian smartphone market.

PC gaming is the best option for high end gaming in India, its expensive depending  on rig you building, but its the best option. All latest PC parts easily available in Indian market with warranty, that's why most hardcore indian gamers here go for PC.

Consoles were only popular here when you were able to mod them during PS2 and 360 days but not anymore. You will see console market completely die here by the time PS6 is out.

Console market is dying across Asia. Most Asian gamers are either into Mobile or PC. US and Europe are the only main console markets.

Consoles still sell well globally. Anyone who prefers the simplicity of a console will not prefer a PC. Coming home from 9 hours of work, getting fee hours to play, one wants to get in the action immediately, not fiddle around the settings to get the best possible performance to get an extra blade of grass.

PS and Nintendo are hitting new levels of profit this generation. Heck, PS profit by mid gen has already exceeded PS4 entire generation. Consoles are here to stay, no sane person would say otherwise. PC and consoles both have their places.

Im talking about India and Asian markets in general.

In Asian markets console gaming is not much popular. PC and mobile gaming dominates Asian markets.

Consoles will continue to sell in NA and Europe

How do you know consoles are dying in Asia. Where do you get that info from?

Following is for APAC only, include China and growth is higher.

In 2023, the Asia Pacific gaming console market generated $11,958.7 million in revenue. The market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.3% from 2024 to 2030.

Found more data on APAC, India is expected to grow the most:

Sony Corporation and Nintendo Co. Ltd. are among the key players in the region. India is expected to have the highest CAGR from 2024 to 2030.

In most Asian countries PC and mobile dominate with biggest revenue share

https://www.gamesradar.com/ps5-launch-in-japan-was-smaller-than-every-playstation-console-except-the-psp/

In korea pc gaming dominates

https://www.globaldata.com/data-insights/technology-media-and-telecom/market-size-of-video-gaming-in-south-korea/#:~:text=user's gaming experience.-,South Korea is the fourth biggest market in the video,is among the top countries.

In future, you will see console numbers will be lower. Right now they selling in those markets but i don't see growth in console market same way we see in Europe, Australia and North America.

Idk how consoles doing in Africa and South America

I never refuted that Mobile is not dominating. As for South Korea, PC has always been on top, this is nothing new.

I have a problem with you saying, 'console are dying in India and Asia', give me source to prove that is true. I've given you source saying they're growing, now show me otherwise or stop pulling crap out of your a*s again.

These predictions are based on current growth and from previous years growth.

"lol we will see", is not an argument. You can't just make some trash statement as if it's the truth then run away saying 'we will see'.

In previous years consoles were affordable machines under 499 and 399$, but as games becomes more expensive and console becomes more advanced and expensive, you will see decline in sales in third world countries particularly.

If consoles are 700 to 800$ in US and games are 70-80$ then you will not see much sales outside of Europe and NA, that's my prediction.

In South Korea, China and Japan by far most richest Asian nations and there free to play PC and mobile games dominates. Genshin impact, COD Mobile, Pubg and all dominate there.Same case is In India, Malaysia and other South east asian countries.

Iam not saying no one will buy consoles in Asia but i refused to belive high end console market will grow in Asia (excluding Japan).

If Next Nintendo console is 500$ or above, you will see decline in Nintendo hardware as well.

In how many Asian countries Pro is available?  How sales are looking like for Pro?

Ponies are IVG getting triggered coz i said consoles will not grow much ignoring the fact Pro not coming to India. Sony dont give two shits about you desi ponies. They havnt even made a statement regarding why Pro not getting released here. This shows much they care about this market.

And MS no different.

Yes, all analyst sales are false and BS even though they're based on empirical data. But you're right, even though you hav zero sources and no basis. Funny how you can't show once source helping your argument, but "Consoles are dying".

These so called analysts predictions are bs. Some say MS will dominate cloud gaming in future. I doubt ponies will believe any positive predictions related to Microsoft lol

There it is.

If you're gonna use 'ponies' and stuff, you need to stick to PvS thread, and perhaps keep your baseless predictions there.

No one said anything about MS, or Xbox. Even though I could have. Hence proven that you keep calling yourself PC gamer, but still a closeted Xbox fan trying to crap on PS thread.
