anyway, I got the pro. The patches definitely work wonders for Spider-Man, resident evil 4. Need to try the others

Silent Hill 2 has been patched & fixed aswell for Pro.

Please give your insights on the new patch.

So apparently they have increased the base resolution from sub 900p to 900p & it has fixed the problem…..as I said it seems sub 900p seems to be a problem for PSSR.

The Framerate has taken a hit but still in VRR range & somewhat similar to base PS5.

Is there a consensus or confirmation by when ps5 pro is launching in India? I’d rather not buy from grey matket

No one will get to know till Jan.

If Wi-Fi 7 devices aren’t cleared by then….it might take even longer to have a concurrent date.

The Pro is out of stock in Japan.

Asked around in a couple of bic stores and yodobashi. Not available to pick up anywhere.

Even on amazon, it's available by invitation.

Would've picked it up if there was more stock :wallbash:

Why India’s 6Ghz spectrum dilemma is affecting PS5 Pro console launch in the country https://www.thehindu.com/sci-tech/technology/why-indias-6ghz-spectrum-dilemma-is-affecting-ps5-pro-console-launch-in-the-country/article68897280.ece

Article for those thinking that Sony not being able to sell the PS5 Pro in India is a "lame excuse, CoZ ThErE R OtHeR DeViCeS DaT hAvE Wi-Fi 7 and they still release in India."

I know it's a paid article, but I'm sure all of us know how to bypass paywalls, if needed... :wink2:

Read the article…..it says that each manufacturer is taking a different approach.

PS5pro demand in India isn’t big enough that Sony will patch separate firmwares & sh*t.

Yeah, for 5000-10,000 units, Sony won’t make that effort and govt can make a decision till 2027 or something

so my guess is that PS5 Pro won’t come officially in India in next 12 months or never also 🫤 Sony might jump straight to PS6

btw any clue about how many PS5 units sold in India? 20% of that could be the market for Pro

So it's not entirely the policy, it's Sony too. They don't think it's worth it because there isn't much demand.
