Anyone here has ps portal? I've been somewhat confined to bed for the past month due to a lower back problem. Not allowed to sit for more than 15 mins.

Been contemplating picking up a portal but need to know if it's worth it and what the performance is like. TIA.

Its worth is completely dependent on your use case. If you are going to use it properly, its definitely going to be worth it. A friend has it and as per him, performance is excellent and without any issues.

If you have your PS5 connected via Ethernet cable to the WiFi & you connect it to the same WiFi then it’s somewhat a manageable experience in games other than fast shooting.

But otherwise it’s worthless if you use boosters in home or connect via Indian internet.

A good way to test the waters before buying is using RemotePlay app on your phone & you can also connect duelsense to your phone to see exactly how the experience will be.

@Walker Yep, I second this. Best way to check your current network fidelity for streaming games.

I have a 7.5-month old to look after during several periods during the day and night, and for certain reasons which I'm sure you will understand, when I'm in his room which does not have my PS5 and TV in it, I use Remote Play on my phone, along with a Dualsense. It does the job for me very well.

Mind you, it's not the smoothest experience. buB for the SP-only gamer that I am, it's totally fine. I'm cool with the slight micro-second stutter, and the occasional (but totally noticeable) drop in resolution.

Thanks for your inputs guys. I'll have to think about it. I did use the phone via remote play in the past and it worked quite well. Only issue right now is the position I'm in, its cumbersome to use without a way to mount the phone to the controller.

Thoughts on backbone? I suppose I'll lose some ds funtionality?

Games Like Battlefield 6,Black Ops 6,CP 2077 etc are night & day in terms of clarity plus performance on PS5pro compared to base PS5.

Any Pappu who was spreading fake narrative should be ignored.

This is hands on back to back verdict.

Won’t come out now even if Govt. Restrictions on WiFi 7 is gone.

It was already a niche market & now most of the ppl who wanted have bought OOR.

Yes…that’s the only reason this gen might push a year longer to 8 years.

But since Mark Cerny is officially making announcements & presentations regarding it then it’s a good indication that it’s 2.5 years away instead of 3.5.
