Also TM is NOT awarded to anyone based on the date of FILING. It is awarded on the grounds of since how long have you been using the brand name (you even have to give documents like Invoices/Receipts/ Other Brand Usage Documents from the time you've been using that brand name) So I really doubt that Mr. Hitesh Aswani has been using the PS5 brand name longer than Sony

Moreover Sony can legally still release the console and get the TM later but as far as I know then they cannot use PS5® symbol anywhere, I think it has to be somewhere on the box for sure.

This is a nice industry in China btw.

You file brands names ,logos, patents of products of global companies in your name, and when they release said products do court case, and then make big bux in out of court settlement.

Of course there the one who files first gets the rights, that is why this scheme works.

It looks like the trademark issue of PS5 is true.

You can search for the trademark created by a guy named Hitesh Aswani. (image - https://imgur.com/EGjg3IB)

Website - https://ipindiaonline.gov.in/tmrpublicsearch/frmmain.aspx

wordmark - PS5

Class - 28

Edit: Looks like this guy also applied for Xbox Series X in February 2020 (link - https://imgur.com/q1gAuWu

But Microsoft didn't have a problem. I think this won't be an issue.

Even he could "AFFORD IT" he would be stupid to do it. He does not have an IOTA of knowledge about "Tarikh pe tarikh" XD

They'll probably file a complaint in a court far far away from his city and make him travel regularly for every hearing and unless he's super loaded, he'll avoid it altogether. Best case scenario for him is to surrender it peacefully and sony india might be generous enough to give him a free PS5.

I'm the prime witness in a case, so I know a thing or 2 about doing court rounds. :fear1:

Oh wow. Just reached the part where they show the stand. So much love and care put into that stand itself. Japanese design & engineering. ❤️

Seriously, brilliant, the fact they put in a holder for the screws! Plus NVME expansion. Dust cleaning mechanism.

Guess this ones going to last a while.

Once again they outdo Xbox. Damn Sony!
