Jan 2020 article but still quite relevant: https://www.neogaf.com/threads/how-low-will-the-price-of-ps4-go.1520289/ PS1-3 all had massive drops over their respective lifecycles and they managed to keep the sales going, current generation on the other hand has been selling well despite no major drops in price. There's a clear distinction in power between PS$/Pro and PS5, so I doubt current gen will be discontinued, unlike X1X which was making XSS look bad. IMO PS4/Pro will stay for a couple of years but will get price drop soon, but first that has to happen in international markets, and then trickle down to India. Its up to the developers to make a super light game that can push 8K game.
