Considering the internal storage is around 600GB it's surprising that Sony didn't consider external storage as a bigger priority. Even with a software patch it seems like it'll be a while before compatible drives are easily available on the market. With the port deactivation and not announcing the actual required specs it seems like Sony has looked at the MS + Seagate partnership and is trying to buy time to get it's own package out the door. playstationdude Posted November 6, 2020 Report Share Posted November 6, 2020 (edited) Sony might be banking on the fact low priority markets like India can be ignored for the next year since true next gen games are anyway not coming out till end of 2021. If MS /3rd parties actually start releasing next gen games early 2021 then yes there is a good chance people will buy an Xbox. I sold off mine after finishing Tsushima. If you have a decent PC, you have nothing to cry about. Just enjoy Legion, Valhalla, Godfall and Cyberpunk on PC, and wait peacefully for PS5 launch here. But I have active PS Plus and PS Now subscriptions.. missing out on those. I guess it's not too bad to wait until January. It was the first console I bought from my own money after I got my first month salary when I started working. It is emotional and this thing has not failed me yet in last 6 years.
