If you were hoping to be able to use a large external hard drive as “cold storage” for PS5 games — i.e., clearing space on the internal SSD by moving installed games to a USB HDD, rather than deleting them and having to re-download them later — that’s unfortunately not an option. (This is presumably because Sony doesn’t want to confuse people who might expect that if they could move a PS5 game to an external drive, they’d also be able to play it off of that drive.) In fact, the PS5 doesn’t even let you copy PS5 save files to a USB drive; the only backup option is cloud storage, which is available exclusively for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Bruh..

can't believe this, WTF is wrong with Sony?

Woah! On that Hitman fountain scene, XSX was going below 60fps but PS5 is locked 60fps! PS5 is more powerful than XSX?????!!

Watch after 10:00

Xsx is native 4k ,ps5 1440p

Resolution is same as xbox one x and ps4 pro respectively for most games

Yeah, I played Dark Souls 3 on PS4 Pro on the unlocked frame-rate patch. It wasn't a consistent experience. But with PS5, all is locked 60.

So the choice is -

XSX - Native high resolution but NOT a locked 60fps

PS5 - Lower resolution/checkerboarding but LOCKED smooth 60fps

I think Sony is on to something with the PS5! All BC games are locked 60fps! "PS4 Checkerboarding" and "PS5 power" is a great combo for smooth game play.

What's great about this? Old gen games running better on new gen. Wonderful?

Still checkerboarding to achieve that 60 fps tho.

PS5 Tells You How Long You've Played Games--Including Previous PS4 Play Time

Quote

Among the many changes and improvements you'll find in the PlayStation 5's new user interface is an enhanced profile page. Perhaps most notably, this includes a list of your played games along with details on when you last played them and how many hours you've spent with each one.

Quote

What's most exciting is that these play times don't just start counting once you've gotten your new PS5 plugged in. Your profile also showcases the time you've spent playing on PS4, which means all those hours you sunk into Overwatch, The Witcher III, Rez Infinite, Destiny 2, or your game of choice will be represented here.
