I remember in my xbox 360 days, I bought a 24 battery pack from the store so I never run out.

The shock on my dads face when he saw is still burned into my memory

I think he went and returned it lol

During xbox 360 days I bought Duracell 10-12 pack first, realised it was not going to last long. bought rechargeable batteries, was too much of a hassle rather than plug and play solution of ps3. Also, sometimes used to forget to charge the batteries or someone else in my house unplugged it to charge their own device. Bought the play and charge kit and it was shite and broke down in less than 6 months.

Anyone saying MS is giving players a choice or is being consumer friendly is BS'er of the highest order because their own premium controller which comes for 200$ uses internal rechargeable battery.

I have Duracell Chotta power aa packs at home which I buy in bulk for my kid toys... any idea how long will they last?

if it keeps discharging everyday it’s gonna be really inconvenient

You would have to ask someone who plays regularly on Xbox to answer that

Normal AA Duracell will last about 35 hours

360/XBone

can’t say about SeriesX coz it must be an upgrade

DS4 batteries last about 14-15 hours at a stretch & fully recharges in less than 1 hr

(I don’t think anyone plays for that long at a stretch)

What rubbish ,i am not talking about sony figures . They dont last you more than 8-10 hours

Curious..  So you always play with two batteries in pocket ready to go ?

I got 4 AA eneloop pro batteries and a panasonic charger for total 2100. Their capacity is 5100 mAh which is way more then any PS controller. Original DS4 uses a 1000mAh battery.

When battery is low, just swap the charged couple and put used ones to charging. Hardly takes 2 minutes - instant full charge. Used ones take 3-4 hours to fully charge. Full charged ones last 3-5 days.

In my opinion, this is the least hassle/best performance/least cost setup for any wireless controller.

My ds4 lasts 5-6 hours...

I remember people were asking for an option to turn off the mandatory DS Controller light because the battery life was so bad.

Sony gave an option to dim the light :D

The PlayStation 4 is a brilliant system with an absolutely killer lineup of exclusive games. That means we’ve spent plenty of time with its wireless controller, the DualShock 4. Though we appreciate its large face buttons, terrific direction pad, and responsive, snappy triggers, the DualShock does not have fantastic battery life. Typically, the DualShock 4 lasts for four to eight hours of play per charge (typically on the lower end of that range), far less than the Xbox One controller or the Nintendo Switch Pro controller.

Why does the DualShock 4 battery die so quickly? Simple — it’s equipped with a 1000mAh battery, which is substantially smaller than standard AA batteries used in the Xbox One gamepad. Unless you want to commit to a wired connection, you’re going to want to take some steps to squeeze extra life out of your PlayStation 4 controller. Luckily, we have some tricks to help you ensure that you’ll never have to wait to play again.

Its not really the light because I turn it off completely on PC and it still lasts the same. The reason for battery drain is DS4 pings at much higher rate than both Xbox and Switch Pro. This makes the controller most responsive wireless controller of all, but fks up the battery.

Speaking of personal experience dealing with that guy who said leechad customers, that guy is a biggest a**hole in palika. He used to make idiot of people by charging black on ps3 games. Worst person to take your info from as he isnt even a small fish there. The first guy in shop 2 is legit.
