The Playstation 5 thread

Lemme throw another classification here. If you are really passionate about something and it keeps you happy then it is not expensive since you can't put a price on happiness. But the same thing could be expensive for others.

As a hobby (and not for impressing clueless females), playing music is very expensive . Classes are expensive and so are decent instruments. I am not even talking about good here

To give you an example, it would cost you around 50-60k per year on classes, with another 20k+ for a decent instrument. Once you survive 3 years of training, you will want to upgrade and then you land in the 50k+ category

Listening to music - Look at the setup of any audiophile. Its usually 1L+

Reading - I used to spend 2k ~3k a month on books when I was an avid reader, so not exactly cheap.

Drawing - You would end up spending a pretty solid penny here on materials.

In short, hobbies are usually expensive, interests are usually not.

Was about to mention that point. Ppl have no idea how much the Home Theater for pure Audiophiles cost.

Managed to order a PS5 today from Currys UK, my sister is coming back from Ireland for a few weeks, now just fingers crossed it gets delivered in time for her flight (which is end of 1st week of december) ! I didnt really save money compared to indian pricing (paid around 47k for disc version including international transaction charges) but I just couldnt wait for PS India to get off their asses.

You can learn online and git gud. eBooks can be pirated and so can music.

I'll just put this here - but no, you can't learn music off of Youtube. Simple reason being, what you play will almost always sound good in your ears. But in actuality might be sh*t. Plus, you need someone to tell you where you are going wrong. All such stuff needs a dedicated instructor who knows music. So no, music can't be learned via YT, unless you are already an expert, know what you are looking for and where you're going wrong.Same for most other stuff that come under "Arts". It's not Maths or Science - where Khan Academy will get you through.
