Same here but it won't make that much of a difference to people who buy consoles.

And especially not a deciding factor between the sex and PS5 especially if Sony gets out the BC on launch or close to it.

 

Anyway i like 60 fps and freedom to acquire games  / swap parts / non-gaming uses so i have PC, pity the Bots and their 2 rs pseudo PC that they want to defend.

 

Halol infinite, Gayers, Forza and everything else all will be 60 fps or whatever fps you want on PC

 

PC + PS ftw.

I am fine playing cinematic games ( if you can call them those) at 30.. But if its a game like destiny I have been spoiled by pc can't aim at 30 to save my life...

Agreed. That's why PC is almost always the chosen platform for people who prefer framerate. Doesn't mean us console folks can't enjoy that, it's just that there's always a cost involved and that choice lies in the developers hand. I just wish every game came with the performace/fidelity toggle. That is the ultimate freedom for us console folks.

To be honest i am surprised 60fps is still not standard given how super powerful these consoles are. Every generation i feel that this would be the generation that they finally embrace 60fps as standard for each and every game but no they want to push for higher resolution but not higher fps. By this trend PS6/series xx will have have 8k 30fps.

At the very least I honestly expect to atleast provide a simple toggle between visual & performance mode so that I as a gamer get to choose what I want. Higher fps should not be a fad only reaserved fps games or for for PC. And I say this as a primary PC gamer that I wish everyone had access to high fps gaming. It genuinely makes a difference to even racing games, action games, platformers etc.

Also what's up with Gayers, halol? I thought we are mature people discussing our passion for games. Not 15 year Olds fighting for who's e penis is larger.

I personally don't really care for 60fps outside of FPS games and fast-paced platformers like Ori. I understand frame rate is really important for genres like racing and fighting but I don't play much of those anymore. Of course, it's always better to have 60fps but that comes at the cost of visual fidelity. I don't mind sacrificing frame rate for stunning looking games; case in point, Hellblade and most Sony exclusives.

Well said but i was under an impression, people are having fun pulling each others' leg. Hope no one is getting REALLY triggered to the point that they start spending a lot of time researching dirt on the other side and come here to spew it and get hostile. 

As long as it remains healthy and not necessarily an agenda, it should be OK (but then again i can be wrong).

 

My thoughts on the Xbox messaging.
I can see they are again going for the worlds most powerful console chest pumping messaging but clearly i feel that hasn't worked for them with One X. 

I can understand if fanboys take that message to go on a victory lap but even the MS executives are focused on that language and i feel that is their always online debacle for this gen (where proper messaging didn't reach All the audience they want it to reach). 

 

Microsoft shouldn't focus more on pleasing their 50million fan base (out of which many would also be having a PS4 mind you), but rather show content that encourages others(PC,PS owners) to purchase their console.

Game Pass is a very good one but since its on PC as well, they are not really asking people to purchase "the worlds most powerful console". Nor they realize that getting someone from PS bandwagon (out of 100+ million audience) is not easy with a powerful console since the Sony side is pretty much spoiled with lots of games and wide variety of them(not just 4k, 4k, 120 fps).  

 

Before we get back to the point that MS doesn't care about console sales but just game pass , might not know how marketing works.

Just see how Red bull (an energy drink company) is into Formula 1, etc to promote their drinks(brand) which is their core business.  (unless i am really wrong on this one)

So MS's show piece is their powerful console and it should really do well for them in order to sell their future core business the Game Pass. They can't forever do the 1$, 10$ per month model along with releasing all major games day 1 one on game pass anymore (if consoles don't sell well).

It's strange with 3-4 times the cpu power and we are making statements that we are fine with 30fps and putting all the eggs in the graphics basket which are already spectacular.

Anyways hopefully sony gives us different modes ,we all will be happy then .

It's strange with 3-4 times the cpu power and we are making statements that we are fine with 30fps and putting all the eggs in the graphics basket which are already spectacular.

All this is making me think that PS5 is going to cost $699 (as rumors are spreading). Hope that isn't the case. Sony should have learned that a dominating gen does not automatically mean that the next gen will be automatically successful. PS2 to PS3 should have taught them some really hard lessons. Wonder whyy they are again trying to repeat the mistakes of the beginning PS3 gen.

Hmm, $699 is just too high. Sony will be shooting themselves in the foot. Personally, at that price even I would wait out instead of getting on Day 1 as I used to.

Not even gonna go into the Indian price if it turns out to be $699. 

$499 seems alright with the discless version coming at $399/449, if not they aren't going to get ps4 sales.

If I have to choose between HZD as it is, with 30 fps, and the same with noticably scaled down visuals at 60 fps, the choice is always the former.

Noticably =/=  5 tunnel lights that took 2 seconds extra to turn on
