Kids in this country are honestly getting out of hand. Im sure this is either that "I KNOW TO INSPECT ELEMENT HENCE IM COMPUTER GOD" GUY OR "EMMA DOX HIM FOR REAL" GUY.

If one can get rape threats of their teenage daughter (who doesn’t even exist) just because they bought a “grey” PS5, sure why not?

But honestly no digital edition is so much BS. I'll be pissed on principal alone. On one side we have MS that seems to have dumped the worlds rejected digital only console here which we didn't want (I think) and on the other hand there's Sony that doesn't want to sell digital edition which people want (I hope) :(

I am looking for digital as well

Hopefully they put up its product buy page

legit havent bought any game cds

I skipped PS4 completely, so the first thing I would do with the PS5 is play all the Ps4 exclusives (Infamous, Uncharted, GoW, GoT, Spiderman etc.,)

The digital edition being cheaper by 10k sounds more enticing. But all the old PS4 exclusives disc versions are so much cheaper than digital cost (600-700 vs 1200-1500).

And I'm certainly not going to be buying new PS5 games at full prices. Rather get them at 50-75% discount, whenever that is going to be valid (sale, a year or more later)

So, for the above case, which makes more sense? Standard or Digital?

Remember you from the old days :)

If you anyways buy late during sales, the digital is more sensible. Some of us purely like it for the looks (symmetry). There are trade offs like never being able to trade but that’s about it.

I buy mostly at launch but consider it just my humble way of supporting the industry so don’t mind.

One more thing with digital, no disc, no disc drive so no noise. My 5 is dead silent even on PS5 exclusives no matter how long the session is. That alone is super worth for me.

Digital.

PSN sales are as good as whatever disc based deals your getting from Amazon or GTS.

Most of the games you mentioned anyways are either available with ps collection on ps5 or will eventually make their way to ps plus (and will anyways be available at good prices being first party games).

For me, I prefer buying multiplayer games (like fifa, battlefield etc) digitally as I would be playing them often and also my work involves a lot of long term travel so I don’t need to carry the disc along.

However, for single player games, I prefer the option of having a disc as once you have played them there is no point in keeping them. Also my PS4 (and now ps5) would also serve as a blu ray players, so I anyways have to go with the disc version

Also with the rumours about game prices reaching /breaching the USD 100 mark in this gen, it would certainly make it more affordable for me to trade used discs for single player games which I won’t play once I have completed the main storyline

disc version is the way to go then. 10k will be easily covered

The games don't run from the disc drive anyway even for disc edition. Disc is only used to install the games. So even in disc edition you won't have any noise while going.
