So then Amazon and Flipkart must have got like 15k combined with the rest distributed b/w individual retailers and RD.

Lol, yeh kuch zyada lag rha hai.

And that is exactly why we are getting PS5 so late. Not to mention only some will even be lucky to get through.

Happens everywhere, the used games and rental scene in the US is huge my cozns and a friend who both are gamers do it all the time. Infact in India we need to buy a lot of games digital because they aren't always available here.

It’s big no doubt. But the spending capacity in the west is wayyy more than ours. With our already paltry console sales, the used market effectively shunts out the average revenue per customer. And that is what comes to bite in the long run. Not judging anyone in particular. I used to trade/buy used games too as a kid. But these things do make a difference albeit in a negative way for what essentially is a non-existent market for both Sony and MS in terms of any meaningful earnings.

Bro all the worthwhile ps4 exclusives are added to the ps plus collection so you don't need to buy them at all.

I actually didn't think about this at all.
So, assuming I am just going to subscribe to PS+ for a month+, can I just download all the available exclusives, and keep playing them even after PS+ expires?
Also, are these free exclusives timed or will they stay be on PS+ forever?

Remember you from the old days :)

If you anyways buy late during sales, the digital is more sensible. Some of us purely like it for the looks (symmetry). There are trade offs like never being able to trade but that’s about it.

I buy mostly at launch but consider it just my humble way of supporting the industry so don’t mind.

One more thing with digital, no disc, no disc drive so no noise. My 5 is dead silent even on PS5 exclusives no matter how long the session is. That alone is super worth for me.

:) Yes, been here for quite some time now, but mostly on a low profile.

You'll have to be subscribed to ps+ but it's only 2.3k a year in sales and you can reduce it further if you share the account.

Ah 2.3k a year is not bad at all. And the option to share with someone who might actually put the account to proper use, makes sense!
Thanks, I will keep this in mind while pulling the trigger.

Digital.

PSN sales are as good as whatever disc based deals your getting from Amazon or GTS.

THE PSN deals were good, for sure. But disc deals were definitely better, at least for the older games.
I was keeping a watch during the holidays, just to see the trend.

Not true. None of the 2020 exclusives (TLOU2, GOT) and some others (Spiderman, Uncharted Lost Legacy, Horizon, Infamous: First Light) all are not there.

@Ram Dante Disc Edition/Standard Edition is preferable. You will be keeping the console for 8-10 years, and in that time the disc edition will work out to be far cheaper than Digital, even if you don't buy games on launch. Not all games get discounted and the option to resell is always nice.
