Lol I may be the only one here, but somehow I feel discomfort playing in 60fps. Took me a lot of time getting used to 60fps in doom eternal and MGS rising revengeance on series X.

Would honestly prefer tp switch to 30fps if option is provided.

+1

30 FPS is cinematic. It’s better for story driven games without a lot of movement.

You have some kind of motion sickness?

Still whatever you are saying doesn't make sense.

It gives me discomfort in my eyes at such high framerate, although it could be specific to a few games

Ok, its kinda of a symptom of motion sickness. I know lots of people who have it so nothing to worry about it.

Probably because of the fast camera movement in those games. You'll probably be fine with 60fps in something like FH4.

Have you tried gaming on 60fps for a while? I've heard and noticed it's just about getting used to it.

I played doom etenral and MGS:Rising only recently on my series X.(jan 2021). Took some time getting used to the camera, but I would still prefer slower camera movements.

Doom Eternal has terrible motion blur on consoles, and the aim smoothing adds weird camera acceleration. Turn off motion blur and reduce smoothing to like 20%. Trust me, its not the high fps that's the issue here :P

Rising has a lot of in and out zooms when you go into zandatsu mode, but it'll feel a lot worse at 30fps.

Kinda makes sense. The next 60fps game I play am gonna try switching off motion blur to see if it helps

Its generally a good idea to turn off motion blur in high fps games, especially on consoles where you don't get high quality per object motion blur like on PC.
