Which PS Plus collection game would you guys suggest to start with on PS5? I played all PS3 games and skipped PS4.

I was thinking to buy Uncharted Collection from AZ/FK (no clue why Sony didn't include it as part of the PS Plus collection :ranting:) and then play Uncharted 4.

Could also think to start with something like Days Gone to experience 60fps magic.

Confused :eyebrow:

I was gonna create groups to pick one game from, then realized the collection has almost every genre.

Personally, I haven't played just 4-5 of them, and I'll try them all except MKX, that's just not for me.

So yeah, it will depend on your preference. Almost all games are good to great in their respective genres IMO.

UC Collection was part of PS+ game in 2019.

My favorite games out of the collection are TLOU, P5 and GoW. You should probably start with either TLOU or GoW since P5 is a huge time sink so you can keep playing that for quite some time. Out of TLOU and GoW, if you are looking for a more story based experience then TLOU should be first, otherwise if you are looking more for action, then GoW.

Thanks guys for the responses. Really appreciate the help.

GOW would have been my first choice but heard you can't play it at 60fps for now (unless you have a disc). So waiting for a patch.

Have played TLOU on PS3 and would replay once I get my hands on part 2 too. Probably via the library.

Until dawn? Days gone? Would they be a good experience on PS5?

Yeah again depends on what you are looking for they are both decent games. If you are looking to be awed by graphics Demon souls and spiderman miles morales would be your best bet. Except the games which have 60fps mode you won't see any difference between a ps5 and ps4 pro. Regarding ps+ collection you can go through this list to check what resolution and frame rate each game will run  https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/comments/jyratr/the_resolution_and_framerate_of_all_ps_collection/   and the quality of this games range from decent to great,  none of them are bad.

Within the ps+ collection I would not hold my breath for any further ps5 patches if there were they would have already been out by now.

Both Until Dawn and Days Gone are great games in my opinion, with Days Gone also being an absolutely jaw droppingly gorgeous game (even on a base PS4). It also has a patch that makes it 60FPS on PS5 so that's an added benefit.

If I hadnt played those, I would've definitely got the collection. Completely worth it.

+1 for Days Gone but not now. It was a thoroughly underappreciated game back when it released, but I hear that people like it more. I played it for 50+ hours, and only stopped because I bought a certain game called RDR2. But I don't think it is worth being the first game.

God of War is just awesome. Can't go wrong with it. I even grinded out its end game gauntlets for gear as it was so much fun. I had my cousin play it for a few hours at that time and now he is buying my PS4 Pro on the basis of just this game

GoW is 60 FPS without disc but at 1080P, still looks crazy and definitely the one should play first.. If you are looking for 4K 60 then need the disc but obviously will come with bugs..

TLG is absolutely must play but get a used disc for this one because the digital is 30 FPS in both perf and res modes..

Is every unpatched PS4 disc game  brute-forced to run at 60 FPS by the PS5?

But i guess it’s not optimal, or at least that’s why the devs are not doing it.

I don't think every game does that. UC4 and LOU 2 still run at 30 fps.

Nothing to Brute force, the initial 1.0 of the game is still locked at 60 FPS and resolution also in some cases at 1800p or 4K..

when they patch it it runs accordingly on a base PS4 or a Pro.. Let’s say the initial build is locked at 30 like GTA V, RDR2 then PS5 won’t do anything different and will run it exactly like a PS4 minus the load times..

God Of War can easily do a 4K 60 but guess they will release an upgraded version and milk some money so they won’t do it.. They did it for GOT as it was a recent release..

What are the quality of the pre-owned discs from websites like gamenation and gameloot? Looking to buy some pre-owned discs from them. Is it safe and will the discs work in the longer run? What to look out for when buying a pre-owned disc from anywhere?

Bought couple of games from gameloot. And had a good experience, disc boxes have normal wear and tear. Disc to at times have minor scratches but haven’t faced any issues till now.
its like buying from IVG only but little pricier.

What are good pre-owned prices? I'm assuming IVG pricing would be slightly lower than gameloot, etc.

For example, RDR2 is around 300 bucks cheaper than the original one, GOT around 300-400. Is it better to just get the original at the full prices or the pre-owned are also good value?

It totally depends on what you think are good prices for you :) And How much you want to pay for a particular game.

As you are dealing with individuals in IVG you have chance to share your offers with them or negotiate (if the seller is willing to :fear:)

So that also helps.

It's an emotionally overwhelming experience in regards to Story but Worth it IMO. ND took risk with the story telling and imo they delivered. The Cast were Top Notch

As a game , the Level Design was top notch allowing different ways of tackling situations  to progress and making full use of the arsenal. Mechanically it is much superior to TLOU 1.  One of the best graphical looking games on PS4 with great levels of detailing done by ND that it's literally mind blowing on the minute stuff they have added to the game.

Add in great audio with amazing accessibility option in terms of difficulty.  The Game as an overall package rightfully is not only one of the best games last year but one of the best this gen.

TLOU 2 totally is worth playing as a "game"  Amazing Story helps it elevate much further

Hmmm, I will play it soon I believe.  You were always good at suggesting games to me which I just had to play  can't believe it's been 10 years.

God of War it is then ?

I've played all GOW games prior to this on PS3. But don't remember much. Can watch youtube videos for a refresher.

Would you guys recommend playing GOW 3 remastered on PS5? Or should I not buy it and just watch videos over youtube?
