The croma guy earlier said that Sony has communicated to them that they will receive units on 30th/31st. They didn't receive any today and haven't received any confirmation for tom. But he is confident of receiving it by Mon or Tues itself. Let's see.

Yes pls, fingers crossed units are actually coming in end of Feb:fear:

No cooling dock is needed, the system is already cold AF even while running long sessions..

IMO dock stations just take more space.. I charge my DS using phone charger and it’s faster than PS5 charging..

100% not needed. It never made real difference on the ps4 pro too. Only convince is charging controllers and storing games. Rest is just gimmick.

But Ram temperature is scary in long run. What if it's a design flaw ? Gotta say, series x's engineering is not only simple but seems effective overall. Although, time will tell the rest of the story.

Sony will definitely add another heat pad in further iterations to cover that ram module. It's something which is easy to fix and will make it more reliable. For us, we can hope it doesn't cause any problem or atleast show up during warranty period.

Can't we open it up after the 1st year ends, and do it ourselves? Add a thermal pad or something for the RAM.

Nothing is stopping you from doing it and you don't need to remove the heatsink or even the main board for it so the pressure on the soc remains the same. You just need to be confident in your ability to pick it apart and put it back together.

You have to remove that warranty sticker though. Its under the last metal sheet.
