No I'm saying like 100$ a year or 7000 a year . Il be good with that. 20 minutes ago, Right said: Unlikely, they will lose a lot of money because they have too many first-party titles, which sell quite well. Yes unlikely. But as they are going to have a digital only console they should go that route. This would make more People buy more digitial consoles, and will profit Sony more in the long run

It's not just early gen. Sony has used it aggressively even towards the end of ps4 lifecycle. From ff7 remake to cod modern warfare to fall guy's and what not. They're living up to their tagline of making ps4- "the best place to play" and if that means moneyhatting pubs then I don't give a F. It's not like I'm paying out of my pocket for the extra goodies. Today, developers have a simple metrics to chase for, that is sales, which can be met by delivering good games & marketing. If they want to make more money, they need to sell more, by making better games. With subscription service, you have a large group which is of paying customers, they would stick on and will play your game. Worse thing is that they would time their subscription around the time of big releases. So they get their 1st month free, play the games and exit. Rinse/repeat with new IDs. And since the money you are gonna get out of them is finite, you need to shove in DLCs and micro-transactions for that extra money. This is fine for games which are being developed on GaaS model like Halo, but our beloved SP games it will not be good. This is an honest concern. Like the levelgating in AC: ORIGINS Was horrible. 3 hours ago, Right said: This is fine for games which are being developed on GaaS model like Halo, but our beloved SP games it will not be good. I have never really enjoyed GaaS , except Destiny 2 , which I enjoyed for a little while. Single player games will always be something il enjoy because of the story alongside fresh combat systems. KnackChap
Immersion: Sony’s Focus on PS5 DualSense Haptics Tech is Due to PS4 Already Having Pretty Much Maxed Out the Audio-Visual Experience Quote According to the CEO, the experience being offered by the new technology in the DualSense will be the norm going forward. “That is a brand-new experience, and that is singularly differentiated by haptics”, he told investors. “And we're very excited about this, not just because Sony is doing it, but we believe that kind of experience will be the norm and the standard going forward.” From what we’ve been hearing, many in the gaming industry have praised the new PS5 DualSense controller, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it as well. https://wccftech.com/sony-focus-ps5-dualsense-haptics-ps4-maximized/amp/?__twitter_impression=true While their competitors added a whole new button () and renamed an existing one to share button ()

They can more easily make a sacrifice and get back profits from Game Pass than console sales than Sony can from that comparatively. Apart from what he said (which il take with a pinch of salt) This is true. MS has way too much money in hand and can easily lure casual gamers who just play online or dont care about exclusives. Sony on other hand wont/cant do it . Honestly this price war is more intresting than all the cold wars out there XD
WhiteWolf
Also looks like RE 8 will have 4k mode and performance mode at 60 fps. So reveal video was 4k at sub 30 fps and if what this guy saying is true then performance mode will be sub 60 on PS5. Hopefully Capcom will prove him wrong and deliver solid port. CarbonCore
Yeah that's Dusk Golem. He said it'll launch on PS5 at 1080p/60, then backtracked and said the current state is 1080p/60 and it'll get better by launch, then backtracked further and claimed he never said launch at 1080p/60. In the end he decided to just STFU about these thing

They won't just keep eating losses if they are not seeing the required returns in the future. They do have unlimited money but money has a cost and that cost is high for a high margin business that MS operates. Yes, of course. Mixer is the latest realty check. A certain person on this board behaves as if MS is a Chinese State Owned Company that will continue pouring paisa into a dud, unlike reality where they pull the plug on failed products very soon
playstationdude
They canned the complete Nokia division which honestly had far more potential than their gaming division, not sure why people think they will burn money on gaming. Closer to gaming Wii U was comedy yet nintendo still supported it till they could get a proper successor out. MS, Google etc don't seem to have interest in making their products or services work at whatever cost to them, CANCEL'd the product is a much more ezier alternative, which keeps boardwalas happy. TRMNTR
I'd use Windows Mobile 10 anyday. With all the news about Windows 10 on ARM, I'm guessing they'll push for it in a couple of years or so.
