Don't cancel unless they specifically ask you to do it. Most probably Amazon will arrange some stock to fulfill orders.

 

Ps5 I would suggest contacting your local retailers on the restock status.

I checked my CC statement. I won't be cancelling until 15 March, as I have already paid for the XSX statement, and now the refunded amount will just sit as a credit in the CC.

 

Going to the local Sony Center soon. Thanks.

Exactly. They may not have it in stock but at least you have one locked. As soon as they have stock, folks like you will be the ones to get it shipped.

How did you get that information? Customer care?

 

If yes, they are reading the availability status in the product page. That would have been showing out of stock since shortly after you submitted your order.

 

What is the target delivery date?

This. They're literally looking at the product page and giving you that information. They have no clue on the actual stock situation.
