Im able to emulate wii u , ps3 in addition to all these consoles on steam deck too. Considering the horsepower series x has over steam deck, not surprising.

How does the ps3 emulation work on the series consoles?

Can't find the Activision thread so posting here

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/microsoft-activision-deal-could-harm-uk-gamers

A CMA investigation has provisionally concluded that Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision could result in higher prices, fewer choices, or less innovation for UK gamers. The provisional findings from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) follow a wide-ranging investigation conducted over the last five months to understand the market and potential impact of the deal.

This has included holding site visits and hearings to hear directly from business leaders at Microsoft and Activision, analysing over 3 million internal documents from the two businesses to understand their views on the market, commissioning an independent survey of UK gamers, and gathering evidence from a range of other gaming console providers, game publishers, and cloud gaming service providers. Competition in the supply of cloud gaming services

The CMA provisionally found that being able to offer popular games will be important for cloud gaming providers to attract users as the market continues to grow and develop. The evidence available to the CMA currently indicates that Microsoft would find it commercially beneficial to make Activision’s games exclusive to its own cloud gaming service (or only available on other services under materially worse conditions). Microsoft already accounts for an estimated 60-70% of global cloud gaming services and also has other important strengths in cloud gaming from owning Xbox, the leading PC operating system (Windows) and a global cloud computing infrastructure (Azure and Xbox Cloud Gaming).

Concessions

Basically

1) Spin off (give up) CoD IP to 3rd party

2) Sell Activision part of ABK

3) Sell Activision and Blizzard part of ABK

4) Otherwise no deal

Yeah the deal is dead

Was just searching for that thread to post same, did it get deleted?

Anyway, seems lie this is coming to close. I'd expect other regulatory bodies to conclude soon after CMA releases final report.

The concessions are quite big and this part of the statement just nails it,

"Microsoft already accounts for an estimated 60-70% of global cloud gaming services and also has other important strengths in cloud gaming from owning Xbox, the leading PC operating system (Windows) and a global cloud computing infrastructure (Azure and Xbox Cloud Gaming)."

Can still go through if MS agrees to the remedies, but they're very strong and its up to MS if they want to compromise that much. They also only have 2 weeks to respond.

I don't see them agreeing to those terms.

If you hear the interview, he talks exactly like Trump, right down to Xenophobia and blaming the government for everything.

If this acquisition doesn't go through, will Kotick be held accountable for his part in the fratboy culture in Activision? if yes, I am all for it. Couldn't care less about Sony Vs MS.

Yeah was going to get the golden parachute with $300M bonus plus shares, and hand over his bag of sh*t to someone else at ABK or MS. Now he has to stay and face the allegations.
