Specifically, the name calling and personal comments are getting out of hand, and it turns a lot of people away from being more active in these threads. There are some members who have made a habit of derailing these two threads and we won't allow that going forward. So please use this post as a general warning to everyone.   Many of us will soon have an Xbox Ser

Why is that a bad thing if it comes to PS4 ? More people will be able to play it .. more money to Sony 
I don't care how many get to play or how much money Sony makes..

Creating a game side by side with last gen console will hold it back no matter which platform xbox or PS5..

Games like god of war define generations.. I would like the play the best possible version of it..

Sony Fanboy logic , they still measure success by the no of consoles sold. Games coming to ps4 means ps5 cant reach it full potential sales.

I think it is not about being nice. On Sony's side, they see Revenue. So i doubt if there is a chance to make money there, they want to loose that install base. No other way to get back all that money without being more open for third party games. For new games not already in Development, it makes sense to keep exclusive to PC and Xbox

yeah, and they will not say it until the install base for next gen is established. If sony leads big time again, then it would have forced its hand to keep releasing Bethesda games (for full price) on Sony and keep gaining the money. (While its free with Gamepass on Xbox). This way both would be happy.

Why release a next-gen console? Should stick to PS4 then. Its not a flop like Xbone so they can keep making it for as long as possible.

Because Sony Microsoft wants to sell more consoles ... more money ...PS4/Xbox one owners to upgrade to ps5/xsx

In an ideal world the buyer of 3080 would be absolutely ecstatic if games were made for his $700 card from ground up instead of being held back by shitty 1060. Unfortunately Nvidia doesn't make games so all you get is resolution and fps boost. PS4 also came out in 2013 when 760 was a new card. No AAA publisher touches 760 now even as min requirement.

 

And yeah I said it before, FW will absolutely be held back in level design, traversal, AI, enemy encounter, everything that is limited by 9 year old tablet CPU and slow spinning drives.

He will happy for a year or 2 until nvidia comes up with 4080 or something and starts Buliding games for that card only...

You are missing a point in what he said games aren't built for that card specifically..
Games made exclusively for 3080 would look a lot better and would just have res and fps bumps if devs weren't developing for lower spec cards.

Personally I don't get the sudden love for cross-gen games this time around. Last time when 90% games were cross-gen throughout 2014 people were mad and tired of them. Now suddenly cross-gen is the new hotness? [emoji38] 
2 years they have to play cross gen what do you expect lol
