Hey guys, I (and others) have been getting a lot of complaints regarding some of the discussions in the PS5 and XSX threads. Specifically, the name calling and personal comments are getting out of hand, and it turns a lot of people away from being more active in these threads. There are some members who have made a habit of derailing these two threads and we won't allow that going forward. So please use this post as a general warning to everyone.   Many of us will soon have an Xbox Ser

I may have to buy this.. doesn’t look like I will be able to get series x anytime soon..

Go for it. It's a great console for around 5k too based on the reviews. You can buy PS5 as 2nd console.

PS5 + Series S is a good combination which is lighter on the wallet and guarantees option to experience all next gen games.

Also I talked to few retailers who were confident about bringing out of region series x within 1 week of launch, but now they are not that confident and are pushing series s. Looks like we won't have proper stocks of even out of region series x and PS5 this year.

Sure what sure. Do you even understand anything. There is something called return on equity. You can either give retained earnings as dividend or reinvest to generate higher capital gains. Every single penny retained in a business has to earn the investor's required return for the stock price to sustain. MS must have a requirement of at least 12% return on investment. If it doesn't make that much, returns get f**ked and stock price tanks.

So did they recoup 7.5 billion or steady investment

As far as putting them to good use is concerned  its been 3 years since the 1st acquisition and there have been no reports of them interfering in any of the studios in any way which is a great sign. They are just giving them the resources and time required to make the best games possible which is even more clear after they delayed halo infinite ,something the old Microsoft would have never done .

MS always procrastinates of it's launch of games . Keeping it niche is  appreciated but they need to buck up as it takes ages as compared to its competitors.

 

Its also answerable to the investors who have trusted for better gains. No doubt game pass was a good initiative but they should think of new horizons for the studio as well to attain a good audience.

Yeah that's how it's going to be.


TPs will simply build for S with target compilation set, one asset common for all platforms, with scripts in place to set graphical setting for that platform, not creating special asset packs to reduce disk size rqmnt.

 

Or they will care only when the game is added to Gamepass.
