Ppl wrongly expect their CC to have visibility to inventory back in the warehouse. They don’t. They invariably rattle the same things on your order details back to you. 
I had escalated a Galaxy Note preorder in 2015 I think. Someone higher up the chain called me up and confirmed CC intentionally are restricted from accessing that level of detail. Reason is to avoid them deliberately or inadvertently leak upcoming products or product preorder timelines (If you recall the Redmi phone flash sales that used to be a thing 4-5 years ago). 
Doubt anything’s changed now.
