The vehicle control in Halo CE.. Dear Lord!

And without any clear marker/map of where to go, most of the times I'm roaming around like a headless chicken until I somehow end up in the right direction.

I get this is a very old game, but still... not sure if I'll be able to stick with it.

Play Halo 2 using modern graphics and Reach and 4.

Or just Reach and 4.

Reach best imo.

Both games runs fine on One X. No frame rate issues in any mordor games. Shadow of War uses 4k textures and runs great on One X

Locked frame rate in every scene. On technical game was polished. So stop that bs that it had frame rate drops nd all. Outside one siege area there are hardly any drops.

I get it you don't like the  game but game runs very good. Frame rate problems is just nonsense

Ok Phil

It is 30 fps locked like all last gen games. It runs  fine, you just don't like the game in general.

FWIW I played several hours of shadow of war on base PS4. I didn't feel any frame drops/stutters etc. The movement was a bit janky though like adity said (protagonist goes in different directions sometimes than where i want to, sometimes has a lag in action, sometimes doesn't do the right action at all, e.g. trying to climb resulted in a roll instead many times during a fight). But otherwise performance wise I didn't feel any issues. It's an average game if you don't have much else to play and find the nemesis mechanics fun.

Dang, seems popular opinion here is quite opposite to mine.

Had a blast playing Shadow of War, the small issues didn't bother me much. Enjoyed the first one and felt this was a major step up compared to that.

Graphics update, the story, fluid gameplay, the characters, nemesis system were all positive.

Couple of things I disliked:

Fighting too many enemies at once and Talion tends to grab the wrong one, gets annoying.

True ending is only possible after completing some big sieges, and can get grindy if you don't strategize.(However, True ending gives a proper send off to Talion, very satisfying)

I found it better than Assassin's creed games btw. And ..

Spoiler

the first orc that you dominate, forgot his name, was super funny.

Yeah, he breaks the hold and betrays us, we learn a more powerful domination later and turn him into a mindless vegetable :/

I loved Shadow Of War for the first half, then I definitely started finding it very repetitive and left it midway. I loved the Nemesis system too.

Yeah, getting killed by an orc or an orc we kill always remember how what happened last time and have appropriate dialogs. Made the encounters more personal and less a random kill.

Sniper Elite 4 was such an enjoyable game. Played online coop with a friend.

Currently playing Far Cry 5 only. It's a mixed bag of emotions - story & characters are amazing. Missions are repeated way too much. Would suggest to play the campaign also in coop with a friend - it is very much fun & also doesn't make the missions as boring as you would find when playing alone.

Think I'll give Shadow of War another chance too. I loved Mordor but somehow couldn't continue playing SoW for long.

If and when you guys do give it another shot, I'd suggest at least hang on til the map opens up :)

I quite enjoyed Shadow of War, no performance issue on PS4 Pro. Didn't bother with the "true ending" slog tho.

Understandable.

You could always check that on youtube, connects Talion directly to . . .

Spoiler

the third LoTR film, Return of the King.
