Hey guys, I (and others) have been getting a lot of complaints regarding some of the discussions in the PS5 and XSX threads. Specifically, the name calling and personal comments are getting out of hand, and it turns a lot of people away from being more active in these threads. There are some members who have made a habit of derailing these two threads and we won't allow that going forward. So please use this post as a general warning to everyone.   Many of us will soon have an Xbox Ser

I know the feeling but you're in for some disappointment. As real/only new gen games start to enter we'll return back to 30.

Ya this seems right. I do get loading screens in games like Maneater on the PS5 during fast travel and booting up , however MM is:dog:

I feel this gen will be different in that we'll see a lot more games aiming for 60fps, albeit at a lower resolution. The CPUs are much stronger this time around. I just hope this trend of multiple resolution and frame rate targets continues.

XSS - less performance, meant for a 1080p screen which I don't have, no disc option in case you need it for few games, too high price for overall package @ 35,000 - because of these factor it misses out on joining the X1X and XSX league, in my opinion.

I agree with you but in such cases, there is always an option with Xbox to play some other new and interesting game in the Gamepass library till the time new game goes on sale. I know that's a weak excuse but that's that.

Also, for me, the Gamepass library gives a tremendous gaming value per ₹ as I have not played almost all games available. I played only PS exclusives till now. The gaming value completely depends on person to person - which games they have already played. Everyone should check the GP library for themselves - may not be a lot of gaming value per ₹ for some people.

Probably a very unpopular opinion, and hope I'm wrong as I play more but:

I completed Gears of war UE and also played a bit of halo reach. Both games seemed so uninspired/boring to me. Halo doesnt seem to evoke much feeling at all. Gears is a bit better. But both are a by-the-numbers kind of shooters. Pretty much same thing over and over without much of a "progression". Wasnt even inclined to finish gears but did somehow.

 

Will play a newer version of gears and much more of halo and then see if the above opinion still holds.

Gave up on Halo CE, started Halo 2. Feels ever so slightly better, will see.

I finished gears 2 about 2 days ago, probably the peak of the series, balls to the walls non stop action. So good.

 

As for Halo CE, I still love that game. Didn't stand up quite as well today. But it was absolutely amazing back in the day.
