This is to essentially kill off the 3 year Gamepass Ultimate Trick for $1 I guess. Most probably Live Gold will soon be phased off completely (All online services to be given by GP and Live Gold's free games stopped).
 
If your 3 year GPU is ending or you will have to buy GP at proper price and new customers will only get 3 months GPU for Rs 50/$1 as originally intended.

What trick? Any link.

Come on Microsoft. You couldn't be that stupid. You had so much going for you and you do this. There is no question of Xbox series for me now. I was comparing Xbox game with gold with PS+ games last year. I have not added more than 4-5 games from Xbox to my library whereas, PS+ gives AAA after AAA every month.

Wtf?! And they give out such shitty titles every month on XLG. Not to mention you can't play F2P games, because you still need at least XLG for multiplayer.

And to make matters worse GP doesn't get you online multiplayer, you need GP Ultimate

I just need to buy Live Gold codes as gifts right? How many can I buy and stack at once? because yha either pe kuch logo ko limit kardia tha on same account/card or stack nhi karne dia tha.

For the former I'll buy from multiple accounts if I can gift them all to one ID and stack them.

They are the OG. Xbox live gold is their invention. They seemed to show care when they were down. Now, they are getting up but before that only they showed their "fangs."

Woah, so I checked XLG prices in India and man, they're ripping people off. They should just shut down XLG. GP is much much much better in terms of value for money.

 

P.S. Still a dick move to force people to get GPU or XLG to play F2P titles like Apex Legends, Fortnite, Warzone etc., I hope Sony doesn't get any ideas from this :/

They will. PS+ is an example. Multiplayer was free on PS3.

I remember. However, PS+ has come a long way since its inception. Last 2 Years, the games given are excellent, and with BC I'm sure that'll continue despite stepping into next gen. For 2.1K/year its a no brainer.

 

Anyway, back to MS, they've gotten back into users goodwill after a long time, would be a shame if they fumble now.
