That's a good response to a possible blunder - at least they hear what people have to say

That was swift reversal of policy after the backlash... I wonder if there was a similar backlash after game price increase announcement,  would they have taken back the price increase??

Since multiple publishers are involved in price hike, the backlash needed to be huge. It also didn't go from $60 to $120 in one go, they just kinda sneaked it in with $10.

Indian price didn't go up right? It was Rs 1k for 6 months.

Ya that’s true but still 4K to 5k is still a large increase here in India..... and there are people still defending price increase..

Why would they do this in first place? I know they need to retrieve their billions asap but they won't be able to do it by exploiting their customers which they literally gained from consumer friendly services.
