Hey guys, I (and others) have been getting a lot of complaints regarding some of the discussions in the PS5 and XSX threads. Specifically, the name calling and personal comments are getting out of hand, and it turns a lot of people away from being more active in these threads. There are some members who have made a habit of derailing these two threads and we won't allow that going forward. So please use this post as a general warning to everyone.   Many of us will soon have an Xbox Ser

Also what the fk does Music streaming have anything to do with GP? Modern music being crap and loud compared to even 10-15 years ago is not an unpopular opinion. Its the direct result of artists fighting for your eartime among the sea of millions of songs.

Xbox division is being run like a startup. And for a startup, only thing that matters is customer acquisition and retention. After a while, once people are hooked, they can just raise prices. Or alternative, keep the price and just expand an awful lot through xcloud. 

Point being, the normal metrics of profit, operating cash flows, etc don't really matter for a model like this. It's high risk, high reward endeavour. And they probably won't know if its even viable until several years have passed. 

 

There's no shame in not hiding it though. We know Netflix and Spotify were in a ditch for years. We know Sony bled money during early PS3 years and Nintendo was in red a lost a lot during 2012-2015, because they told us. Sony started combining PS3 numbers with PS2/PSP as PS family sales and laughed at for this. Hiding numbers make you look like scummy snake oil salesman, and every PR piece you release looks like a fluff.

With AMD’s FidelityFX AI/ML technology, which is similar to Nvidia DLSS and which is exclusive to XSX and XSS among consoles, would XSX and XSS receive a significant performance boost as compared to PS5? We’ve seen what DLSS can do.

With the ps5 no where in sight im really considering the series x

 

Any idea when it'll get restocked on amazon? or Flipkart? hoping to take some bank (or the amazon credit card 5%) type of offer to make it cheaper. Its available on prepaid gamer but I don't want to pay full price. 

 

Will probably sell after the ps5 comes available. 

 

Thoughts?

I don't see Xbox raising the price of GP this console generation. Simply because the soft price increase will happen when the 3 years of xbox gold trick runs out and people will have to pay full price for the service. This with increase in Gampeass subscribers with xcloud will make it more than sustainable for Xbox + they may lose some benefits like EA games after their exclusives start coming out at a regular pace.

Go with  whichever console  you can find ,you cant really go wrong with either choices . Both will have a solid generation .

 

But if you intend to sell it then its better to wait instead of going through so much headache.

They will definitely increase the price in a couple of years once they have 3-4 exclusives hitting each year . Will leave it on the consumer if they want to buy the exclusives at full price or continue playing day 1 with the increased sub price which will still be a better deal IMO.

I keep hearing that price hike bitching all the time. If you expect people to not buy and vote with the wallet then lol.

And you will keep hearing people bitch about the price, just like the bitching against loot boxes continue even as EA, Valve, Acti, etc. continure milking their fan-bases with record profits despite all the noise.
