It is being developed using unreal engine 5. 

 

Considering UE5 is still being worked upon to include RDNA 2 features, I think it's safe to assume 2023.

Covid affected their development in major way. 2022 is all about next Forza Motorsport,  Red fall and Starfield for Xbox.

 

Other big projects are on UE5, so expect them 2023 or beyond

Stalker 2 has been upgraded to UE5. Cool. Maybe other games using it are not far off.

Nothing like it if they actually release the current announced date(28/04/22) will be the first full fledge UE 5 game

Kind of but less complex/more chill, I guess. 

 

Open-world farming exploration game with crafting, resource management and base building, they hit all the buzzwords. ? Either going to be very good or very trash.

I get where you're coming from. Early on in development, we had a day/night cycle where monsters would attack at night. What we found was that the player was always thinking about the next upcoming battle and could never relax and enjoy the farming. Essentially the entire farming part of the gameplay was just perceived as an overly complex economy system for the tower defense.

In the end, one of them had to go for the other to thrive, and we chose to give up on the combat.
