I see what you mean by showpiece. I'm not talking about how it looked. So, no, it wasn't a showpiece title in terms of looks but it was in every other metric.

 

PS - I'm glad it got delayed. Halo deserves a good launch. Especially after what happened to MCC.

I dont consider a game to be system seller if its not exclusive to the platform.. Halo and Gears moved Xboxes last gen but none of them moved anything this gen as they were everywhere.

It doesnt matter what you personally consider a system seller. Big games sell systems even if they are present on last gen systems. BOTW did and even Destiny did for PS4. Its a fact and bascially common sense

Yes, you need it if you want to play it @120fps, and that was the whole point.

 

Whatever you think now, Halo was the title they wanted to use to show capabilities of SX, even if it was available across platforms. now Kaput.

 

Both Halo & Gears are far from being system sellers now. 

They should've had a new IP, they don't have first party games, can't money-hat exclusive deals, Sony got them all.

Even if i agree with you then nothing would have changed for Series X.  Very rarely in history of consoles, system sold big without true exclusive. Nintendo maybe exception but Xbox and PS always had true system exclusives to push their hardware.

 

Also didnt you check all the surveys, where they showed result like 6 to 1 and 10 to 1 sales difference between PS5 and Series X?

Im buying it after seeing Avowed or Fable gameplay already said multiple times in other threads. This year definitely not buying it. I was planning to play Halo on One X only

I'm pretty sure it was always an X1 title first. This is the only gen that has seen 1 Halo game (now).

now you understand why exclusives at launch are important..?

and giving shitty excuses like we dont want to force anyone to buy next gen.. its all bullshit ms says coz they dont have anything to sell console at launch..

Yeah but Halo is on One X and yes i agree exclusive matter but Halo is NOT exclusive to Series X, not even console exclusive lol

 

Avowed and Fable are series X console exclusive and for console gamers like me reason to pick up the box as i cant play on other Console except Series X

Where did you read this? I don't think that's correct. 343 has themselves said that they were planning to create a new engine since they formed the studio because the engine at that time was already too old. They had to make do with that engine for 2 more games. Due to time crunch they postponed Slipspace till after Halo 4 but then had to postpone it further till after Halo 5. They always regretted this decision and decided to work on the new engine first so that they could use it for Infinite. That was always their target.

I don't think they can even afford that. Cyberpunk is going sell crazy good. However, what they should at least try for is Cyberpunk on GP for only the XSX. That should be way cheaper to do and could really benefit them now.

Yeah they can do that. 
 

But it will not be cheap, MS have to compensate them for their full projected sales on x1 & sx, and some, who will buy it off retail when you get it for 1$ with GP or (even for free).
