We pay in INR. That's Rs 640 PM. For Ultimate.

Not to mention, price is immaterial as you can cancel anytime you want. 

 

Right now I paid much less but am also subscribed constantly. Half the time not using it. 

 

Ultimately paid same amount if I were subbing/unsubbing it when a big game drops.

Up until now GamesPassUltimate was just a label & everyone was stacking XboxLiveGold & directly converting it into GPU.

 

Since the end of XBliveG the GamePassCore subscribers have the option of converting their 1 year subscription into 6-9 months (whichever I’m not sure)of GPU.

 

Now the tricky part for M$ is that if they release Activision-Blizzard games currently on GPU their will be a further scrutiny from Competition Authority about undercutting the market as soon as taking over plus they also have to cater to the Ubisoft deal(whatever that is).

 

So it’s a lot more complicated & will take months & probably even years to restructure the entire situation.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't CMA's point of contention Cloud to begin with? Isn't that what the Ubisoft deal is about? Resolution of that resulted in the CMA clearing the block. What has that got to do with MS putting the ABK games on GP?

GP is also a cloud based subscription.

 

Since Ubisoft is buying Activision-Blizzard cloud streaming rights.

 

M$ themselves giving them on their own Cloud platform for el-cheapo will be a direct undercutting towards Ubisoft & their power to sell these games on various other cloud platforms.

 

So technically speaking it’s a lot more complicated than just standing up & putting everything on GamesPass.

That is the bigger hurdle in Activision-Blizzard games coming to GamePass.

 

In a normal scenario Ubisoft as a buyer for cloud streaming rights wouldn’t want these games to be given so cheap on M$’s cloud platform.

 

It all depends on what sort of understanding has been formulated by M$ & Ubisoft.

Also how much scrutiny can M$ evade by the watchdogs.

 

That is the main hurdle right now……not the crap being spewed by Pappu & his shills!!

I doubt it. They probably already have a solution in place and worst case, they can release it to GPU without releasing it on Cloud. Not all games are available on Cloud and Cloud isn't available in a lot of regions to begin with.

Yes they can simply take that route for now.

But are probably overlooking a long term solution coz giving freebies to console warriors was never their gameplan.

They wanted permanent subscribers going into the transition from hardware to cloud.

 

If they can’t take these warriors into the cloud for next 15 years then it defeats the whole purpose of distributing so many freebies!!
