I won’t be surprised if the next OEM Xbox doesn’t show up in India.

Is there a rumoured series X successor like PS5 pro?

No

Rumour is Xbox is going OEM route like SteamD,Rog Ally,LegionGo.

Will be windows platform & that’s why they are setting up extensive Backwards & Forwards compatibility.

Basically all your library will be ported over to the PC versions on M$ Windows Store.

This way they will avoid a lot of hue & cry caused by vanishing library overnight.

Also they no longer have to worry about publishers & developers avoiding Xbox version as it will run the PC version by default.

Wow that kinda sucks and gives Sony complete monopoly.

Sony already was practically running on a monopoly.

Games aren’t selling at all on Series consoles.

Only reason the brand shows respectable hardware sales is because of SeriesS price tag & Freebies on GamePass on top of that….that’s not really business in the right sense to begin with.

Playstation will be competing with the PC’s going forth as more & more ppl will get diverse options with these OEM’s.

Who knows even SteamBox might finally be a reality.

This is a nightmare for console gamers.

"Buy once, play for 5 years" will become "Buy often, check game compatibility for possible fidelity"

Fixed hardware spec over a long period made the consoles the prefered gaming device. Over the period devs learned to extract extra juice from the same hardware.

OEMs will not have such interests in mind.

Playstation is the only high end AAA proprietary console left in the market.

Infact most of the AAA industry is riding directly on it’s back.

I don’t think after Xbox’s exit any other player will try to enter this market.

Nintendo for Handheld

Playstation for High end Consoles

PC’s for all other scenarios

This is the future until cloud picks up.

Yeah seem that way. With no competition, Playstation can afford the risk of losing money for GAAS and they always have that back up plan of SP games and PC ports to fall back to recover lost money.
